“EXCELLENT”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

Can not fault L'Apibo!!! Visited twice two nights in a row as we enjoyed soooo much. The waiters are lovely and friendly and happy to explain what the dishes are like. The food is AMAZING can not fault any of it. Both nights we had the beef and loved every mouth full. Cheese board was also delicious. Service is quick and attentive and pricing is reasonable. If we ever travel back to Paris we will be visting again 5/5.

“Ascending star”
Reviewed 25 June 2014 via mobile

It was a quiet night for this little restaurant, with only 3 tables seated. The waiter obligingly offered English menus in addition to French menus for our friends. The previously Michelin starred chef appears to have found his niche. The entrees a decent size were of subtle but complex flavours, the mains which were fishes, veal, steak were cooked to perfection but it was the sauces which delivered the perfect combination. Desserts varied from chocolate to poached fruits and again were well made with no overbearing sweetness. Because we ordered the 3 courses, it was a discounted price to a very reasonable €35.

“The best in its category”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

The Montorgueil area is full of small locally run restaurants that are on the whole perfectly acceptable. You would have to be unlucky to pick one that was really bad. However they are much of a muchness and while I haven't eaten in all of them, L'Apibo really stands out.

On the face of it, the prices are a little bit higher. However you get much more for your money. Firstly the service is friendly and quick, amuse bouches are served and the plates look beautiful when they arrive.

Better value set menus to choose from.

Sitting outside was the perfect experience for a sunny summer evening and is well-recommended.

Make sure you request tap water if that is what you want since bottled water is served as standard.

“Great lunch”
Reviewed 2 May 2014 via mobile

We chose from a limited but excellent menu for a very reasonable 26 euros for three courses. Celeriac and foie gras soup was a superb blend of flavours and textures. Main course of steak tender and perfectly cooked. Chocolate mousse desert to finish. A great way to end our stay in paris. Highly recommended.
