On our very first night we arrived back to our hotel room, to discover that the bathroom ceiling was leaking. They told us we could no longer stay in our room, and that there was only one other room available. They tried to make us stay in a room, that had not been cleaned from the previous guest. (Who does that in this day and age...) There was hair in the bed and the bathroom was disgusting. We left the hotel, walked around Paris at 10am at night and stayed else where. It took nearly 4 months to get half of our refund back, which at the time they agreed to pay in full. Very poor hospitality all round. This was a horrific experience but was made good, by the Holiday Inn who upgraded us because of what had happened to us on our first night in Paris. Holiday Inn was a better location with a view to die for. Don't get attracted by the cheap price of the hotel cluny, its dirty, its staff are poorly trained, and its just not worth it.

I selected this hotel from a list provided to us from a hotel booking site, having checked with Tripadvisor, the comments were favourable as was the cost, so I booked the hotel for 4 people in 2 twin rooms.

Upon arriving at the hotel we were greeted warmly and had a bit a fun with the receptionist who pointed out the antic of one of our party coming up the stairs, which are a little tight if you have a lot of cases or you are not so good on your feet.

We went to our rooms and they were great, small - yes, a bit frayed around the edges – yes, clean yes, but for 2 nights whilst we watched the rugby ok.

The breakfast was limited, but perfectly acceptable in both quality and what was on offer.
It was noisy, but most French hotels are when the bin men come at 6 am, the street cleaners at 7 am, and the Parisian public at 8 am, I have yet to be in a road side / city centre 3 star hotel where this is not the case.

There are some comments about the reception staff not being helpful, we could not say this as they helped and printed off our boarding cards for our return flights.

This is not a full service hotel and does not put itself out be so, but a nice hotel (with free WIFI) in a good location and next to a tube.

So would I stay there again, yes, did I enjoy the stay – yes.

Took a last minute trip to Paris without any reservations, when we got there we were able to book this hotel for 3 nights from the airport at a fair price. 250euro for 3 nights. Fair enough to be in a clean hotel in a great area! We didnt need the staff much, besides having to buy a toothbrush from them so we had no problems with service. Coming from New York I don't expect people to bend over backwards for me and I like to do and explore on my own.

The room was tiny but had Parisian flair. If you dont like noise I would leave the windows closed or ask for a back room because the street is noisy. The metro is close by and you can walk to Notre Dame from here. Perfect little hotel!

I have never had such an awful experience with a hotel. The service was absolutely terrible, and perpetuated the stereotype of rude, unhelpful Parisians.

Sadly, it ruined my entire trip.

Stay away.

Cute compact hotel with nice boutique feel, but boy was it noisy. We were in a front room on the second floor and the traffic and pedestrian noise meant we didn't sleep well. If you don't sleep it sort of ruins the rest of the plus points as well. I could also hear other guests so the sound proofing in the rooms wasn't good either. Other than all that it was lovely...so what a shame.

I liked most: location, interior decoration of the room, cleanliness

The rest was average. If you come with heavy luggage, be prepared to carry it to the 1st floor, lift too small, the reception desk and room serves as the breakfast room in the morning (lack of space), the room VERY small - narrow place between bed, walls, bathroom door etc. No place to put a big valise. The wardrobe does not open fully - otherwise the table chair is stuck. ETC. The staff at reception was not very visitors friendly and spoke poor English...
Price of the normal double room with view on busy street I still consider to be very high.

Be prepared to be droped on a corner and carry bags to first floor but from first floor reception there is a lift. The room is small even by European standards but nice with mini bar and we had a view of the square below and in distance the Eiffel tower. Norte dame is a short walk and the louvre is 20mins walk. Breakfast is in the small reception and is a crosant half roll coffee juice and yogurt, eggs are available to boil.
