My friend and I had 3 nights in this great little hotel, what a find: low cost, no friills, but clean, comfortable, unlimited hot water and a shower that could clean brickwork. We were given clean towels every day and toiletries were provided, there was also a hair dryer. We had a twin room at the back of the building, overlooking a small courtyard, which meant that it was very quiet. we heard no street noise and were able to leave the window open at night. The location cannot be beaten, the area is lively with a wealth of friendly bars and decent restaurants. We did not have breakfast at the hotel but it looked good and I think was value for money. I would definitely stay here again. One small negative - not all the staff have equally good English language skills, especially the night staff. My friend was taken ill and had to be taken to hospital but the person on reception was unable to understand our request to call us a cab for the journey, Sadly our language skills deserted us in the stress of the moment.

Room Tip: Try to stay at the back if you think you may be troubled by street noise. Rooms are very warm and i...

We have stayed several times at the Hotel du Moulin, 3 Rue Aristide Bruant, most recently in October 2013. The hotel provides great value for a two star hotel—elevator (small), free wifi, computers in public area and even a printer for printing boarding passes. The optional breakfast consists of bread, jam, coffee, and juice. The friendly owner and staff speak English.

Hotel du Moulin is situated about midway between the Abbesses and Blanche metro stations providing convenient access to two metro lines. It is only a few blocks from the raunchy Pigalle area but it is also a world away being in a work-a-day Montmartre neighborhood. Rue Abbesses and Lepic are lined with restaurants, fruit stands, wine stores, meat and fish markets, boulangeries, banks, etc. If you want to experience Parisian life you can't do better than this neighborhood.

My wife & I spent two nights at hotel du moulin and really loved the location, reception by staff, street views among other things. Not the biggest room in size but for the price we paid and with the conveniences we enjoyed it was just great staying there. Only one real complaint which was a bit of noise that came through from an adjacent room. Overall, wonderful and we'd stay again

Room Tip: * This is somewhat obvious but the top floor (fourth) had the best view. We had 402 which faced the...

Great location in Monmartre--handy for everything--large rooms--(for Europe)----very well maintained---would stay again--I mean if you go to Paris are you going to stay in your room?--One caviate----our wake up call didn't come--quite a rush when the cab did--found a great jazz club and that meant we slept in--but we made our flight,

Stayed for 2 nights and found this place to be good! Typically small rooms but clean and tidy. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great wifi. The best thing about thus hotel is the location and the quite street it is on which lets you step away from it all for a bit!! We slept really well! The garden rooms are very quite and situated in a small courtyard. The place could do with a slight update and the bathroom was getting old with some small black spots in the tiles... But if you are out and about, does that really matter?!

My friend and I needed to stay in Paris for 1 night only. We picked Hotel du Moulin for its location, price and good reviews on Tripadvisor. It was a great choice. We didn't need big, we didn't need posh, we just needed clean and adequate. It was far more than adequate. The hotel is situated in a quiet street and Montmartre 'centre' is just up the road. It is handy for a couple of metro stations and we were spoiled for choice with restaurants. The room was on the small side but very clean and it had everything we needed. I have nothing negative to say - all positive. The staff were friendly - they even made a phone call tor me in order to block my credit card which was stolen on the metro. Beware pickpockets on metro! They're a clever lot. We stayed in room 45, on the 4th floor. This overlooked (well, 4 floors down!) the little garden which is an oasis in a big, bustling city. Shady, quiet and perfect for an enjoyable drink and nibbles. We plan a few sightseeing days in Paris next year and this will be the hotel that we will choose.

Room Tip: From reading tripadvisor, together with our experience, choose a room at the back.

We used at this hotel for a cheap weekend stay in Paris . It is great for location and you get what you pay for . Rooms are small , but very clean. The street side rooms are very noisy from the nearby bars and rubbish collection lorries at 5am ! Overall , get some earplugs as you offset the price of this hotel with the expensiveness of Paris in general.
