“Three night stay”
Reviewed 25 May 2012

I did a lot of looking on the net for a good 2 star hotel in Paris. When I saw the good rating of the Hotel France Albion Hotel, and the location, I booked a room for 3 nights. Right now, there is construction on the road just outside the hotel and it will be lasting until the end of the year, from what I understand. So, the front of the hotel does not look like you see in photos. The staff is very nice and helpful. My room was very small with a twin bed. I liked the bathroom. The breakfast room is charming. If you do not want to pay 13 Euros ($16) for their generous breakfast, you can walk directly across the street to a little restaurant where I paid 6 Euros ($7.50) for orange juice, a cup of tea (you can have coffee instead), good French bread and butter and jam. That satisfied me for 1/2 the price. The hotel is located between two metro stops. The St. George and the Notre Dame de la Lorette stops. The St. George stop is the closest, but not by much. It's a great location if you are coming into the Montparnasse station as you don't have to change trains.

I would recommend this hotel for singles or couples. It's in a good location and the area is nice (besides the temporary construction on the street that is taking place this year).

Room Tip: I was told that the bar next door can get loud (base from music) a couple nights a week, so you migh...

This is a delightful hotel in a wonderful area and I would love to stay there again. We stayed in both a 'superior' room and a double and both were very nice. The superior included a much-appreciated electric coffee pot and a positively luxurious bathroom. We didn't eat the breakfast but there are marvelous bakeries and charcuteries a few steps away and a Carrefour supermarket right across the street.
The entire staff seems to be friendly, warm and extremely helpful. The hotel itself is pristine. The nearest Metro stop, Notre Dame de Lorette is extremely close and Pelletier several blocks away. If you have much luggage, you might consider a cab if you've taken the Roissybus from CDG. The hotel reserved a shuttle for us for the return trip to the airport and not only was it a very good deal but we made it to the airport in 1/2 hour, including 2 stops in other areas. This was well before rush hour though.
Although a little less central than some other areas, the Latin Quarter, for example, it's a neighborhood inhabited by working people and not predominantly by tourists.
We'd give it our unqualified recommendation!

very nice little hotel in the center of paris with kind and helpful staff.
the room was small but enough for a short stay and with a fresh blue refurbishment.
relatively spacious bathroom with everything you need. it was very clean and the room got cleaned every day.

there was free wifi available but the connection in the 4th floor was not that good and got lost serveral times
and sometimes there is some noise from the street but its acceptable if you keep the windows closed.

for the location:
- metro line 12 st georges just around the corner
- really nice neighborhood
- many little awesome restaurants and boulangeries nearby
- carrefour city on the other side of the road
- moulin rouge, sacre coeur, lafayette and opera all in walking distance

This was my 2nd stay at the Albion. This time I needed a triple room which is called their Family Room. It consists of 2 bedrooms -- 1 with a double bed and one with a single -- and a bathroom w/tub and shower. Hot breakfast is an additional cost -- 13 euros, but there are cafes and bakeries very close by. This is listed as a 2 star hotel, but it has everything anyone visiting Paris would need and the location is excellent. Within easy walking distance are a dozen restaurants, a pharmacy, good-sized grocery store and produce store. We strolled to the center of Pigale to see the Moulin Rouge and Sacre Coeur and get an incredible view of the city. Walked to the Opera area easily. There are 2 metro stops, each 1/2 block from the hotel. You can't go wrong here.

Room Tip: A room facing the courtyard will be quieter than one facing the street.

As previous reviiewers have said, this is a great little hotel. Up the street a couple of blocks is the famous Moulin Rouge. All attractions are within walking distance. Breakfast is not continental.. with the ability to boil eggs. There is free wifi. We decided on a picnic in the rooms one day and they lent us utensils. There is a metro a block away. The only hiccup was the shuttle they organized to pick us up from the airport. It is a company called Paris Shuttle and should be avoided. We waited 45 minutes before they arrived, then they picked up two other couples who had waited 2 hours. The one they used to bring us back was Navette Aeroport and was extremely reliable.

Room Tip: Ask for non smoking as they permit smoking in some rooms.

I booked this hotel after considerable study and reviews on TripAdvisor. I selected it for value and location close to Gare du Nord and the metro. It did not disappoint as it was exactly as pictured. I had emailed for directions from the train station and they promptly provided comprehensive directions and options for us. This small hotel provided every comfort you could want and the staff was very friendly. They even let us store our luggage their after checking out so that we did not have to deal with it the rest of the day as we were catching a train at 9 p.m. Excellent, can't recommend it enough. Thank you Hotel France Albion.

We thought this hotel was great value at £43/person/night. It's in the 9th arrondissement very close to two metro stations and the no 26 bus route from Gare du Nord, and a short walk south of Montmartre. Our twin room was small but not a squash; the beds were comfortable, the shower was always hot and had great pressure; there was a free safe in the wardrobe. The service at reception was always very friendly, English spoken by everyone. Daily maid service included a change of towels after 3 days and there were "knick knacks" of complimentary soap, shower cap, shoe shine, and a large bottle over the bath of shower gel/shampoo. We didn't bother with breakfast in the hotel at €13, preferring to try the many local cafes instead. If I were to go again I'd ask for a quiet room, especially if I wanted the windows open. We were on the front of the hotel and although the one-way road wasn't mega busy there were roadworks which started about 07.30.

Room Tip: Request a quiet room. I'm guessing the back of the hotel has no road behind it.
