Wonderfully convenient for this central area, just off the Rue St Honore, a tiny hotel elegantly modernised. Very helpful desk, free wifi, averagely good breakfast. There's an excellent family-run restaurant directly opposite in the quiet narrow Rue de la Sourdiere. We would readily book it again.

Stayed here with family, I found it online. It's nice situated close by to everything, easy to walk to around and many shops, restaurant and cafe. It's just the parking is abit tricky, bit further and costly. But other than that we enjoyed our stay, recommended for a family with young kids.

We stayed for a week in the Apparent Sandra that is at least managed by the hotel. While it was roomy for Paris standards and it was very very well located( especially if you were in Paris for your first time) it was poorly appointed and not well cared for. We were there for a week and although daily maid service was advertised ( and therefore paid for) we received none. We got one towel change after we requested it several times. The kitchen was barely adequately appointed and striped bare after each renter. Even the salt shaker was emptied. While you are admonished to clean the kitchen yourself no detergent or linen is ever supplied to do so. There are no instructions on how to use the phone, TV, stereo, dishwasher etc. so they were of little use to us. You can't give over a whole day if your vacation looking everything up on the Internet and trying to figure it out. The use of the hotel front desk staff was convenient however and it added a lot to the stay. We were attending a convention of sorts and other groups had much nicer( yet not as conveniently located ) apartments for less money. All in all a fair stay but in the future I would look else where and try to receive more for my money... Like a dish towel or a coffee filter or something to make you
feel welcome.

If you're in Paris to enjoy Paris and not to hang out in the Hotel, this may be the perfect place. It's a short walk from the Louvre and a lot more. Clean, comfortable beds, very friendly staff, nice shower and a very nice breakfast(not included with stay). There is good shopping and plenty of restaurants at walking distance.

Room Tip: The closest metro station is Tuileries which is only two blocks, there is a Tourism office very clos...

We were a family of four with 2 small children. We stayed in the Residence du Lion d'or Louvre which is a set of small apartments on the other side of the road (Rue de la Sourdiere) from the hotel and wer ein the smallest studio. We chose this because of its location and we were proved right.

Its a brilliant location next to Louvre and the Tuilleries metro station at 2 minutes walk. This place is ideal for combining business and leisure. If the father is away at work and family is not comfortable with metro travel (people from Asian countries like us), everything is walkable and 2-3 days can be spent just exploring the surroundings like Louvre, Tuilleries garden, Champs Elysses, Opera, Palais Royal - all are just a short walk away.

There is daily room cleaning. Staff is very cooperative and nice. There is no lift for the residence apartments and the staff help carry the luggage up and down two flights of stairs. Kids loved the loft. There is a carrefour express downsatirs for all daily needs. Macdonalds, Subway and Pizza Hut are at walking distance. Coach to Park Asterix is at walking distance next to Louvre. The 300 Euros charged for a single room with loft for 4 people is ONLY for the location and its convenience. We had a truly wonderful stay and will return to this hotel if we revisit Paris.

Some negatives. Two entire walls of the room were made of mirrors, and this gave a false sense of size on the photographs posted on the net - the mirrors were not apparent on the pictures. Room is only 11 to 12 feet wide, 13 to 14 feet long and 11 odd feet in height, and the loft is at 7 feet with 4 feet crawl space. Beds back up on the mirror and because of poor distance judgement due to mirror, one tends to hit the head on the mirror. The floors and loft creak a lot. Having kids in the loft is very noisy and my eight year old stumbled and barked his shin on the steep ladder. The loft is only four feet in height though my kids loved it. Four adults would be pigging it in this single room, but it is OK for 2 parents and 2 small kids. The loft has a mattress on the wooden floor and one child regularly rolled off on to the floor and slept the night there. We used 2 suitcases to block the railing gaps which were too large for kids (and no other space in the room for the suitcases anyway). Bathroom would be vastly improved with a couple of hooks for clothes and towels.

Most of these are minor irritations, which would be easy to eliminate with minimum expense (better gapless railing for loft, handles for ladder, hooks in the bathroom, headrest for bed - thats not expensive, is it?)

All in all, we liked the room and had a great holiday in Paris. So our decision to chose a location within the old city, rather than a much cheaper and larger room in the newer parts of Paris, was the right decision and our favourable memories will be coloured in large part to due to our stay in this hotel.

Room Tip: Dont hesitate to ask for help in carrying up luggage on the Residence side of the hotel, there is no...

Ideal location for taking our two daughters, one in college, one in high school, around to the must-see spots in central Paris (Louvre, Notre Dame, Bastille, Tuilleries, Champs Elysees, Arc de Triomphe) just three days before Christmas. We stayed in the residence across the street, which had an en suite bath, service kitchen, dining table, and big loft bed (for the girls) built over the king bed (for us parents). All was clean and comfortable. Staff very pleasant. Would stay there again. Good value for money.

We arrived at the hotel well before check in after a long flight hoping to be able to leave our luggage and return later. We were greeted with " your room will be ready for you in 10mins," and treated to a coffee while we waited. Room was compact with everything we needed and very clean. We would definitely return and certainly recommend this hotel.
