“Wonderful !!”
Reviewed 27 September 2013

My favorite neighborhood and a great boutique hotel to stay in! I've stayed in different neighborhoods in my past trips to Paris ( 6th trip ) this was perfect. As mentioned in past reviews this beautiful hotel is tucked in a corner across the street from the fabulous St Sulpice square and fountain. Yet 2 blocks away your in the middle of the St Germain De pres neighborhood.
The staff:
Was wonderful, from arranging train transfer to hotel to reconfirming various reservations we had thru our stay.
They would welcome us back from a long day , eager to hear our stories, and give us tips for our following day.
Tea service(included in your stay) was always awaiting us in the cozy lounge.
The rooms:
Are quite small, but very luxurious.I stayed in a double by myself and it was great.
The most comfortable bed with canopy,, pillows, and comforter ever!
THe a/c was quiet and worked perfectly.
(for 2 people in these rooms don't bring more than a 21inch suitcase each. you will need to put suitcase one the floor by one side of the bed )
The bathrooms:
Real Spacious, and have everything you could possibly want ,including warm towels!
( Hair Blower was better than mine!)
Water pressure real good, but as in most European bathrooms you need to learn how to shower without creating a pond outside of the tub.
Room service:
I ordered a pot of coffee one morning and it arrived within 10 minutes!
This is a high end boutique hotel, if the their prices are in your budget then all I can say is:
Make Your Reservations Now! I will certainly be back!

The location of this hotel really cannot be beat! Quick walk to the Louvre, Notre Dame and the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens! The Eiffel Tower, Arc Du Triomphe are also within walking distance for those who love to leisurely stroll and explore a new city. I absolutely LOVED the neighborhood...great restaurants and shops everywhere.

We had a Club Room which is the largest of the rooms and it was exquisite! Probably the same if not smaller than the size of a typical hotel room in the United States but it was so beautifully appointed and comfortable that I barely even noticed the fact that it was smaller than what I was used to. We were hardly in the room anyways so it really didn't matter.

It was a welcome treat to come home at the end of a long day of exploring to know I had such a lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: As for a room overlooking the square.

The hotel is right on place Saint Sulpice, tucked into the corner of a cool and shady little park just opposite the fountain (and the large underground parking garage, a real plus if you arrive by car). It is also only about 5 minutes on foot from the Luxembourg Gardens, beloved of picknickers, joggers, and captains of tiny sailboats. We were in spacious room 32, with a view out over place Saint Sulpice, and excellent wifi. We were impressed with the soundproofing - although we could hear some outside sounds emanating from the square, in 5 days we heard nothing but very muffled sounds of footsteps overhead. We loved being able to sit in the little courtyard off the lobby every afternoon for the complimentary tea. The breakfast options are quite good, and include cheeses, sliced meats, and eggs cooked to order along with the usual baked goods and yogurt. The Breakfast Tyrant overseeing it all is loud and overbearing, but on the plus side, he does keep the breakfast service moving briskly so there is never a wait for a table in the small lounge. One sour note for us - two of my husband's dress shirts came back utterly ruined from the hotel's contract laundry service. The front desk staff were horrified when they saw the damage (and deducted the charge from our bill, there being insufficient time to see if the laundry could at least render the shirts wearable again).

Lovely hotel. We booked 1 night and stayed in room 62, the view out the juliette balcony was lovely over looking a church bit also with views of the Eiffel Tower. Room size was nice beds comfy etc. only 2 things let it down, 1. The wifi only worked by the door of the room and 2. They don't provide irons in anyway so u have to pay to have things steAm ironed (first two items free). Other than that a great place, 5 min walk from centre of st germain de pres which is a lovely place to watch the works go by

Its in a great location close to many shops, cafes & restaurants and the st. Sulpice metro station is only 5 minutes walk away.

Whilst staying at the hotel it is a must, to go to Gerard Mulot's patisserie only a 2 minute walk around the corner & another cafe recommended by the staff (bread & roses) near to the Luxembourg gardens is also worth a visit.

The hotel is nicely decorated with a different colour scheme on each floor and a lovely lounge in which they offer complimentary tea & coffee and pastries in the late afternoon - perfect after a long day of sightseeing.

The staff were great, happy to chat and very helpful with proving information on the local area.

We stayed for 3 nights back in July and had a great room on the 5th floor overlooking the St Sulpice. Paying for the superior room was definitely worth the money with views over the square and the Eiffel Tower. In the evenings it was lovely to open the French windows and sit with a book and a glass of Bordeaux and listen to the fountains in the square.

It was 30degrees when we were there so the addition of air conditioning was also a blessing when you needed it.

Overall a great little hotel, which I would stay in again.

Room Tip: Worth paying for a superior room.

My wife and I just returned from a weekend trip to Paris and chose to stay @ Recamier following a recommendation.
Small, charming hotel in a great location just steps from St. Sulpice Church (quiet square with no traffic noise). Nice cafes, restaurants and boutiques in the area. Walking distance to major attractions in Central Paris. The staff was very attentive all the time. Loved the decoration. Modern and with great taste. I would be happier with more room space. But we managed though our stay since we spend a lot of time out. Free Wi-Fi.
Will definitively return again.
