We lived in the room on the last floor. It was nice but too small. The design is poor and the professional photos do not correspond the reality. But the view was typically french, the breakfast was typically french, and we liked it. The guy on the reception (I do not remember his name, but he was with mustache and with lovely french-english)))) was super helpful and friendly!!! We thank him a lot for booking the restaurants for us etc. You can order transfer from the hotel to the CDG airport. Convenient enough and for an adequate price. The location is nice, not so far from the metro station. Lots of creperie's nearby.

We were fortunate to get this place as there was a large conference in Paris at the time and accomodation was scarce. For a budget hotel you get what you pay for. Although outdated, the hotel is presentable. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Room was small but clean. Bedding was fine, aircon and tv worked. Old bathroom but it did the job. Housekeeping cleaned the room each day. Location is perfect! Surrounded by restaurants and shops, and 2 metro stations are within 100meters.

Where do I start, this hotel is worse than the happy ending motels. The curtains and bed covers had blood stains. The beds are like 20 yrs old. The walls are dirty and there is mold in the shower. The hallways are like dirty-smelly tunnels. The management and some of the staff were super rude (more than normal for French people). On top of all, they charge way to much more for what this property is. The pictures posted on their website and other travel sites are not accurate. Do Not Stay Here, save yourself the trouble.

Room Tip: Don's stay here; I saw 3 different rooms, they were all horriable.

Was quite worried about the condition of this place before arrival, but when we got there the front desk/ lobby area was clean and presentable but different to the photo they use ( no staircase there). We were allocated a room in the courtyard through the back of the hotel. The room although not big was very clean(bedding included !! ) and did the job for the money. very central metro stop 'edgar quinot' 100 yards away at the top of the street was handy. There was a market on both the saturday & sunday mornimgs right by the metro stop.

Room Tip: Get a room in the quaint courtyard at the back of the hotel, looks like it has just been built/ upd...

Really small shower, thin walls, narrow hallway to your rooms, our bed has not been changed for three days, not all of the lights work in ou room, no bedside cabinets and the tv stand looks like it could collapse any second, oh and the bed is like rock

I didn't read Tripadvisor before booking, so when I did take a look at the site, I was certainly scared by some of the stuff I read. Well, the pictures are of the hotel you're probably not staying at (yes, there are two on the same site), so that's at best misleading, HOWEVER you're probably not paying top dollar (as our American cousins might put it), so what do you expect to get for your money? Well, I have to say I had a perfectly OK stay there. Yes, it's a bit shabby and could do with some new carpets and decoration, but the room I stayed in (3rd floor, looking over Rue de Montparnasse) was no smaller than many city hotel rooms, was relatively quiet, the AirCon and electrics worked fine, there was a small refrigerator, the bathroom was clean and the shower cubicle perfectly adequate (not designed for the 'fuller figure' but then many of us could do with losing weight!), towels were changed daily and the room cleaned. Breakfast was all right, and the staff in the small breakfast room helpful, as were the reception staff. The location was excellent, with loads of restaurants in easy walking distance, and two metro stations near (Montparnasse-Bienvenue is probably the more useful - don't bother taking the nearer metro stop, Edgar Quinet, to Montparnasse if you intend changing there, as you will walk miles far further underground to get to your next train than you would walking between the two stations overground). But if you can, bring your own pillow with you - one of the reviews rightly pointed out the pillows supplied were very thin! And the bed itself (I had a double) was a bit hard, but I've slept on worse. A good base for a few days stay in Paris.

Room Tip: away from the lift! and the higher the better, probably

Great location but condition of the room is third world level. Check out the photos i've attached. The pics advertised are enticing and they were offering a discount price, but guess what, instead of getting a room like the pictures show, we were given the rooms above the reception area which are definitely and utterly unkempt. In fact, perhaps third world accom has better. There was mouldy shower curtains. mould on the tiles, extremely dirty around the edges, cigarette butts on the balconette, a huge bathroom window which is lightly frosted with no curtain so that i'm sure in the evening the body is pretty much on display if not all that clear. The bedspreads haven't been washed for ages and i didn't want to use it. The linen seemed fresh but the pillow had a funny smell. I'd say the room hasn't been redecorated since the 1970's. The beds are narrow and quite old. A NO GO! when i asked the concierge why the room is not like the photos, he said we had to pay more. Good One. The breakfast meal is passable but there is not much variety and it's portioned. The breakfast area is clean and i presume the area out back which has the better rooms are probably cleaner but who knows?

Room Tip: read the reviews
