I found this hotel as a great value through American Express travel while booking my trip to Paris. I am really surprised that Amex would associate their name with a place like this.

These guys are a total misrepresentation, the sad part is that once you are there... there is nothing you can do and they know it, because they already have your money - so basically you're screwed -

The front desk staff is with one exception rude and not interested in helping you at all.

For example, they promote themselves as having wifi in the hotel but they don't and when I complained they were like - sucks for you pal... your options are the internet cafe down the street - or pay us 15 euro for a couple of hours of internet access -

I was on vacation but still had to file some reports with my company occassionally, and when it is 20 degrees out and you have returned from walking around the city in subzero temperatures, the least thing you want to do is lug your laptop at midnight to an allnight cafe - And 15 euros for a couple hours of internet !!!! they must be crazy!
but their attitude was - tought luck buddy - you can't do anything.

Also when the made left our door open, I mean propped open with the deadbolt and we went to the front desk to inform them upon our return to the room, the front desk lady was completely uninterested, she looked at us and simply shrugged her shoulders.

I told her that this was unacceptable since we have valuables in the room, not to mention personal effects, and she completely ignored us and pick up the phone to make a phone call, effectively leaving us talking to ourselves.

The rooms are small and the bathrooms are ridiculously uncomfortable..
.I have been traveling to Europe for over 20 years and have stayed in my share of hotels but placing a toilet 5 inches from the wall is simply ridiculous - you have to be a contortionist and be able to do a full split to sit on the toilet .

Since we booked the complete package through Amex, there was really not much we could do so we had to grin and bare it - but we still went around the area checking out similar hotels and asked to see the rooms- we encountered much better front desk service and more comfortable rooms -

We now have a good idea of where we are going to stay when we return to Paris- but if we can sway at least one person and prevent them from making the mistake we made - We have had excercised our right to voice and share our opinion -

My recommedation to you is this: You work too hard for your money- Don't give it away to a place like this that is clearly not not interested in providing the service they misrepresent.

we stayed for 4 nights, the room is small, but clean. who needs more - it was perfect for taking a shower and sleeping. but the best thing about the hotel is the location. it is near 3 metro stations, the best restaurants are in the area, we loved the loation.

Don't waste your money!

This place looks great on the website, but in fact there are 2 'twinned' hotels on the same street, and I suspect all the lovely looking clean rooms were not in the one I stayed in! (The one closest to the Metro station.)

The rooms are basic, and small. The en-suite is really just a boarded-off area of the bedroom, and you need to be a contortionist to be able to sit at the table.

Walls are paper thin, so don't worry if you don't have a remote for the tv, you can just enjoy whatever they are watching next door!

Our family of four stayed here for a three night break. The hotel is easily walkable from Montparnasse metro, to find it turn up Rue de Montparnasse at the 'Leon de Bruxelles' mussels restaurant (worth a visit!)

Our room accomodated four with plenty of space to circulate (the 4th bed was a fold away type but adequate for our small family member). The room was very comfortable, stylish, well appointed and kept clean and well stocked, as was the bathroom. Our room faced the street, yet at night it was quite peaceful. Breakfast was served in the charming ground floor area and was more than adequate (given the french's lack of interest in breakfast generally); with coffee/tea/hot chocolate, orange juice, yogurt, and a good selection of breads with jams and cheese.

We found the service to be friendly and efficient in this quite traditional french hotel.

The hotel is well situated in an area crammed with restaurants! We would definitely stay here again as a family.

Our family stayed here in July, two nights. We were guaranteed a room suitable for 2 adults and two children. What we got was a shoe box with matressess. In addition, the breakfast was bland and tastless with no variety. We as a result ate out the second morning but was still charged for 6 breakfasts. Despite repeated emails and phonecalls, I have yet to receive a credit even although they agreed to the overcharge. Brutal hotel - don't spoil your hoilday by staying there. Cark park is also 10 minutes walk.

We stayed three nights at the Hotel Unic Renoir in a standard twin room and it was not a pleasant experience. The room was very small and the bathroom, when you sat on the toilet your knees touched the wall and you could lean your head on the wall, (i am only 5' 7" and not a large person) the bath was a child size bath. When i asked the male receptionist if we could upgrade and would be happy to pay extra we were told that we had one of the biggest rooms in the hotel and that hotel bedrooms in Paris were not large as a rule. We then attempted to use the safe in the room only to find that the previous guest had taken the key & until the "Boss" came with the master key we couldn't use it (he still tried to charge us for it) even though the "Boss" never appeared. The air conditioning was a box on the wall set by the hotel and never came on, so we had to leave the window open and it is very noisy till very late at night on the road.
The area was excellent for getting about plenty of metro stations close by & only a few stops for Paris attractions & lots of good restaurants, would stay in that area again but not that hotel.
