This place is perfect, the location is great, its surrounded by nice restaurants, the Eiffel tower is a 5 min walk away and the rooms are small but very nicely decorated and clean.

bad points - staff rude (but they all are in Paris) but thats it.

Id never go back to Paris as i hated every second of it (because of the rude people everywhere) but id recommend someone to go here.

Room Tip: Request a high room, you wont always get it as there are only 2 Eiffel tower view rooms but worth a...

Our trip was recently interrupted by a death in the family. The team at Le Walt showed great compassion and character. As much as the Hotel is known for its exceptional service and accommodations, I am most grateful for their sincerity and kindness. I would highly recommend anyone to book with them.

It's a marvelous hotel in terms of service and location.
We felt like VIPs with the staff of Le Walt.
They were gracious enough to provide a room with a view of the eiffel tower which made our trip all the more nicer.
The location as other reviewers have said is exceptional, being in a restaurant, cafe, and shop filled area in the 7th arr. with a metro station being a few steps away.
To criticize for being a 4 star hotel, we expected the bathroom amenities to have more than just shower gel, shampoo, and a bar of soap.
For three days we asked for slippers we were promised we would have them the next day but we never did.
The breakfast gets a 7/10.
Even after our remarks, we'd give it a 5/5 for medium priced hotels in Paris.
We were made to feel at home in Paris.

Le Walt is a nice hotel in paris between Les Invalides and The Eiffel,Tower. It is situated in a cozy neighborhood full of shops and places to either eat or,have a drink (both expensive and affordable). Rue Cler, just a few meters from the hotel ,is full of restaurants, supermarkets, flower, shops etc, and the hotel,is just a few minutes from rues Saint Dominique, Grenelle and Bosquet. The hotel is small, but quite nice even if most of the rooms are very small. The one i was given (on the 6th floor) did have a magnificent vie of Th Eiffel Tower. I didn't find the beds very comfortable, but the rooms and bathrooms are clean. The breakfast is good and there a lot of choice. The service is good. I will defininetly come back to this hotel but will try to get one of the bigger rooms next time. I would recommend,it.Sweet Caramel Frosting
Yield: about 2 1/2 cups frosting
1 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cubed
1/4 cup whole milk
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 - 2 cups confectioners' sugar

In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, cubed butter, milk and pinch of salt.
Place over medium heat and bring to a bubble.
Let mixture boil for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
Let mixture cool in the refrigerator until barely warm.
Place caramel in the bowl of a mixer fitted with the whisk attachment.
Whisk caramel for 1 minute at high speed.
Add confectioners' sugar and beat on low speed until just combined, then beat at high speed for an additional 1-2 minutes.

This mixture will fill 20 sandwich cookies, or frost 15-18 cupcakes.

Room Tip: Id you don't like small rooms, don't ask for a standard room because they are very small.

It does not seem like a luxury hotel, at least looking at the front and lobby, but the room I stayed in was large, stylish and well furnished. The breakfast is great (so good we would book again even only for this reason) and the staff very friendly and helpful.

I'll start by not burying the lead and telling anyone who chooses to read this that Hotel Le Walt was a fantastic experience and wonderful choice of accommodation for first-time Paris travelers. I generally spend a bit of time researching and finding recommendations for hotel options if we do not already have experience in a foreign city or local contacts and this time was no different. I settled on Hotel Le Walt after narrowing down the hotel choices near the Eiffel Tower. We were planning on arriving in Paris on New Year's Eve and staying two nights, so I knew that we wanted to be as close as possible to the Eiffel Tower for a NYE experience and hoped that we could afford it! Much to my delight (and later, joy!), Hotel Le Walt had availability and was reasonably priced for a holiday date. I read other room tips and sent an email requesting a room on the highest floor possible facing the street. The larger rooms face the courtyard, so we were happy that we could book the cheaper room (albeit smaller) and get the view that we wanted. I did not receive a response to my email, but we did receive a room on the 4th floor with a street view (and a view of the Eiffel Tower).

We travel annually and are no strangers to public transit in foreign cities, but I've never disliked a metro system as much as I did the Paris Metro. However, we did finally arrive at Le Walt from the airport and discovered that it was directly across the street from Ecole Militaire metro stop (take B from CDG, switch at St. Michel Notre Dame to C, and switch at Invalides to 8, ending at Ecole Militaire). First impression was that it was a sight for sore, weary eyes! We were welcomed immediately and helped in with our luggage through the doors. Beautiful reception area within sight of the dining and bar area. I'll admit feeling like the needy, American tourist upon arriving, but did not feel that we were criticized or stereotyped in any way. We were helped with anything that we needed and shown to our room very quickly. The room was incredible as soon as we walked in. Two french door balconies in the bedroom and another in the separate bathroom. Everything was impeccable and very quiet. I knew that Parisian hotel rooms run on the smaller side, but I honestly had not a single complaint about the size of the room or the bed. We were treated with a bottle of champagne in our room when we arrived since it was NYE and also served complimentary champagne later in the evening in the foyer.

We did not order room service or eat in the dining area on this visit, so I cannot comment on food service. Our check-out was as quick and painless as our check-in, although we were sad to leave! Highly recommend Hotel Le Walt and will do so to anyone visiting the amazing city of Paris anytime soon!

Room Tip: Classic rooms - street view; deluxe rooms - courtyard view. Rooms fourth floor and higher have views...

For anyone traveling to Paris for the first time, this hotel is a perfect choice! For the reasonable price, we were amazed to find a room with twin french doors that opened to a view of the Eiffel Tower! Do yourself a favor and request a smaller room that faces the Eiffel tower. The biggest bonus of this hotel is the location: Eiffel Tower views from the room, Metro (subway) station 100ft from the front entrance, taxi stand one block away, and plenty of dining options within walking distance. Staying here made exploring Paris extremely easy! The hotel staff was helpful, spoke English well, and set up reservations for dinner, and a show.

Tips:
Opt for a smaller room that faces the front of the hotel - these rooms have an eiffel tower view.

Definitely have dinner at 7 em Vin (one block away). We also recommend exploring a side road located about two blocks away (take a right when walking out of the hotel). The street offers a variety of coffee shops, chocolate shops, wine stores, markets, and dining options.

As other reviews note, the market across the street is very convenient You can purchase some wine, snacks, and then head back to your hotel room to watch the Eiffel Tower lights at night!

Taxi Stand - take a left out the main entrance and walk around the block - there is a taxi stand on the corner.
