5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 February 2013

Travelling with two kids aged 6 and 3, husband and 70 year old grandparents a hotel was never going to work - not to mention be prohibitively expensive. So, this seemed a sensible choice as we could have the family apartment (3 bedroom). Before we arrived the communication was great and they assisted really promptly with all requests and info and sorted a taxi from the station etc. The location is great - about 5 mins from 'Jasmin' on the metro and near lots of local shops / restaurants, including a wonderful bakery just next door. We did not see much of the hotel staff but you don't need to and this adds to the feeling of being in your own apartment rather than in a hotel. The rooms were all a good size and comfy (if not with slightly mad wallpaper/curtain combos... but hey) and the girls had a great view of the Tour Eiffel from their bedroom - good fun at night when it lights up.

The room was serviced every day (except Sunday) and the kitchen, whilst small, had nearly everything you could want. Only room for 2-3 people to sit and relax in the lounge/dining room on the one sofa but not really an issue - just chucked the kids out.

We were on the 5th floor and the lift is - by some margin - the smallest I have ever seen but you only really need the space to get the bags up and the receptionist helped so wasn't an problem.

The apartments were very warm and we could not seem to control the heating - but it was February so rather that way than cold!

In terms of local amenities, the tube stop is pretty convenient to get most places surprisingly quickly. There are lots of nice delis and a Poissonerie etc nearby. We ate at the Pizza place next door but one on the first night (arrived late, wanted something quick) which was fine but quite unbelievably expensive. The second night the grown ups went to the Mouton Blanc which I thought was a great typically French bistro and within a 5-10 minute walk.

All in all a great find and whilst quite pricey probably cheaper than the alternative (3 rooms in a hotel). Would recommend.

Forget everything you've heard about Paris apartment hotels. The friendliest people in Paris run this hotel, and they go out of their way to make you feel at home.

We stayed in the family apartment on the top floor and the kids had a clear view of the Eiffel Tower from their window (wasted on the kids I think). Comfortable, clean and well equipped, a short walk from Jasmine metro station and in an affluent, clean area.

It's not a tourist neighbourhood so brush up on your basic French before shopping in the area, and as it's an apartment practice asking for milk, butter and other staples as the local small general store staff only spoke French. However being a non-tourist neighbourhood all the people were friendly, patient and very tolerant of my high-school French. The bakery/patisserie nearly next door however was run by someone who spoke English very well and we visited there often. Bringing fresh croissants and coffee to the apartment for breakfast each morning just made the stay. There's a good variety of stores and restaurants a short walk in each direction.

I had warning that the local Metro station did not have escalators so took taxi's both ways to and from Gar du Nord and would highly recommend that if traveling with luggage.

While not the cheapest place to stay in Paris it is excellent value, and will be much cheaper than staying in the centre of town (which is 10 minutes max away on the Metro anyway).

The only reason I marked down Sleep Quality was there was a building being knocked down nearby (September/October 2012) and they tended to start early. They could do with a 24 hour laundry as well.

This place wins awards and deservedly so. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have lift/elevator access but the hotels website covered this. The apartment we were i...

What a gem this little hotel was. The hotel is a walking distance from the eiffel tower, and we even walked to Galleries lafayette and hotel invalides, although this may be too much walking for some. It is also well located near metro stops which makes getting around Paris, or out to Versailles a breeze.

The 1 bedroom apartment we stayed in was a great size, the bedroom was massive. The little kitchen had everything we needed for breakfast in, although there are some great bakeries and delis around the hotel. The bathroom was clean and modern, and the L'Occtaine accessories were a really nice touch.

We stayed a week over christmas and the hotel really did feel like home, the marketing is true in this case.

The real surprise though was that we had views of the eiffel tower from our kitchen windows, so delightful to see over coffee in the morning or a late evening wine! I suspect these views won't last forever as there is building going on that will potentially obstruct this.

There was a bit of noise coming from the construction site behind, which started about 8.30 am, which would be a problem if you wanted a lie in.

Room Tip: Room 32 for views of the eiffel tower.

We stayed at Hotel home from Dec 6-10 and our stay consisted of 2 adults and 2 kids (11, and 6). It felt like a home away from home, comfortable good sized rooms (for Paris), and super friendly staff (Sophie and Thomas), who also gave us some useful tips on restaurants and getting around. Our favorite part was bakery next door and we really enjoyed the fresh baked croissants and eclairs. Located very close to 2 metro stations and walkind distance from restaurants, we would recommend this hotel to others and will stay there the next time we are in Paris

I stayed with my family here for 10 days, which was part business for me, and sightseeing. The double-suite was spacious and comfortable for two adults and two teenagers. Kitchen was nicely equipped and very convenient for economical family meals. The neighborhood is aflluent residential with a good variety of shops, bakeries, restaurants, and 5-minute walk to a medium-sized supermarket, and 20-minute walk to large Carrefour hypermarket. The hotel is 3 to 5 minute walk from two Metro stops that we used for frequent sightseeing excursions in Paris and nearby area. We bought Metro tickets in groups of 10 for discounted fare and shared them, which was much more economical than buying day passes. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. English communications, in-person and by email, were excellent. This is a small, intimate hotel with no doormen, no 24-hour desk, a tiny elevator, but a nice, historical atmosphere and a very comfortable and functional place for our family while staying in Paris.

We stayed at Hotel Home from Nov, 22 - 25, 2012, our party of 6 consisted of 2 adults, 14, 15, 16, and 2 year old. I must say that I have stayed at other hotels in Paris over the past six years and this is by far one of the best. Our room was the Family Suite on the 5th floor (room 51), very spacious, which consisted of three bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. To our surprise the third bedroom had a view of the Eiffel Tower. Every night we watched the tour light up and glitter from our cozy room. The room had a heating system and we were all warm and cozy while it was chilly outside. The hotel is in a safe nieghborhood and there is a bakery, restaurants, and stores walking distance. No noisy street traffic and away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Note that to get to the hotel from the Notre Dame and some of the main attractions we had to take two different metros. Also, the elevator is small and will fit only 1 -2 people max. I plan to definitely stay here again and would recommend the hotel to anyone - family friendly, couples, traveling solo, etc.

Room Tip: Family Suite room 51 sleeps 6 and has a view of the Eiffel Tower.

My boyfriend and I stayed in Hotel Home for a weekend break (3 nights). The Hotel was located very close to the Metro (Jasmin). When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff. Our apartment was on the first floor (no 10), it was just perfect! It really was a home from home which offers a great base to explore the city. After a long day of sightseeing it was great to come home to our fully furnished apartment with its comfy sofa. Having a kitchen was a real bonus, it is very small but but don't be put off by this, it has everything you need and there is ample space in the sitting room.

The location was great:, close to some appetizing patisseries / bakeries with friendly staff in what is a picturesque area. It is a safe place to have an evening stroll. As previously mentioned it is convenient to the Metro and also a short walk to the RER (very useful if you are planning a trip to Versailles). A very manageable walking distance to the Eiffel Tower (approx 25 mins).

After booking we received a prompt email with the access code for the door meaning we could come and go as we liked. Free WiFi was very useful. We would have no complaints about Hotel Home, good value and lived up to all the great reviews. We would definitely return and would also recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Paris.
