...yes... you read it well!..."roomy" in Paris, because actually this hotel can give you a roomy and spacious bedroom, which is actually a good surprise for a city where all rooms (even in best hotels) are like a small box!!!...Perfectly clean...air-con working properly...very good and variated breakfast (no matter if you are on the salty or on the sweet side!)...front desk always helpful (..thank you François for helping me every single time!!!)...so, no regret...because what you see is exactly what you get....a perfect stay in Paris!!! (plus: the metro station is only a 5 mins walk...)

This spotless and welcoming little hotel could not have been more suitable for our needs. The beds were comfy, the room quiet with a good ensuite. There was plenty of choice for breakfast in the foyer where from about 4.00pm you could also sit with complimentary nibbles (olives, crisps, peanuts etc) and soft drinks, coffee and tea. Lovely when you've walked miles to return to this. My daughter and I were celebrating BIG birthdays and were amazed on our last night to receive a bottle of champagne ...how kind is that.
It is about 10 minutes walk to Pigalle where you pick up the Metro to most places. St. Georges is nearer but more limited. We would certainly return again.

Stayed here for my wife's birthday, from the 16th April until the 19th.
Great location, only 5 mins walk from St Georges Metro and in a neighbourhood full of various priced and ethnic restaurants. Lots of small shops, bakers, chemists etc within a 5 minute walk also.
The hotel is small, but this makes for a friendly stay as the staff do recognise and acknowledge guests, and are prepared to spend some time if you need any info or advice. Nearly all spoke good English.
The lift is small, only room for two people and a suitcase, but as the number of people staying there, (it was fully booked during our stay), there was never a long wait for the lift to arrive.
Rooms are as you would expect in Paris, on the small side but these are scrupiously clean and recently renovated.
Plus points were the more than adequate breakfast with a great variety of food on offer, and the free soft drinks/coffee bar together with free snacks available from 12 noon unti l 10pm.
Great little hotel all round and well worth the £90 per night we paid as it had gone up to £135 per night when I checked just before our trip.
We will definitely be back.

Great hotel and very clean! The service was very good. They have a profesional, helpful and friendly staff! The room was quite small but very clean. The breakfast had a large variety of dishes to choose from and again the service was great every morning. Would definitely stay there again!

This was our 3rd time staying in Paris, and we loved HotelMonterosa. Location is fantastic, you can easily walk to Montmarte and blv Hausmann, and you can see Sacre Coeur from Rue Pigalle. We were celebrating our anniversary and received a bottle of champagne from the hotel, which was amazing. The hotel itself was good, we liked the breakfast and the room was quit spacious too. Had an amazing time and we would return to this hotel again.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Hotel Monterosa for our 4 night stay in Paris at the beginning of April and were very impressed. It is located just outside the city center, but with the metro station at St. George (Line 12) just a 3-5 minute easy walk outside the front door, you could make it to any of the major tourist spots within about 20 minutes. As with most European hotels, this one was small when compared to most US hotels, BUT it is very cozy and perfect for a place to shower in the mornings and unwind/sleep after a long day of sight seeing around this wonderful city. The hotel receptionist, François, was very helpful and accommodating when we had any questions or requests. The breakfast in the mornings was also very well rounded and had a lot of options if wanting a quick bite before heading out for the day. Sacré-Cœur Basilica, which has the most sweeping views in all of Paris (in my opinion) is about a 15-20 minute walk north of the hotel and very easy to get to.

As for the room itself, it satisfies all of the basic needs: a comfortable bed, decent size shower/tub (European style with small glass panel curtain), safe for valuables and open wardrobe to hang clothes. The flat panel TV even has a few English channels like CNN and the BBC network.

If booking a reservation, I would suggest a balcony room on the fourth floor (400's). I had made a reservation and simply dropped a kind email about a week in advance to see about securing one of these rooms and it was no problem. While the balcony is tiny, it is still a nice touch to this charming Parisian hotel. Would definitely consider staying here again!

Room Tip: If booking a reservation, I would suggest a balcony room on the fourth floor (400's). I had made...

We chose this hotel based on its Trip Advisor rating, and were not disappointed. Francois arranged for us to book in early as well as hold our bags, and the superior room was worth the few extra Euros. Seemed a good size - especially for Paris - with a big comfy bed, and very light and airy. Everything about the hotel suggested chic boutique, with just the right level of quirkiness, for example the mirror topped dining tables and car seats (complete with seat belts!) in the check in area. Everywhere we saw was spotlessly clean and decorated to a good standard. Our room rate included a buffet breakfast, and there were free refreshments (bar snacks, coffee machine, cold drinks) between noon and 10pm. This made up for our only niggle - that there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The other comment I would make relates to the very small shower screen; as the shower is reasonably powerful, we couldn't help but soak the floor. Don't let this put you off however - we would be happy to stay here again, or consider one of the other hotels in the chain.

The hotel is placed in between Pigalle and Opera, and seems to be mostly a residential area, hence the fact that it is quiet and appeared safe. Only a few minutes walk from Saint George Metro stop, from which you can get anywhere in the city quickly and cheaply. There is a nice bistro adjacent to the Metro stop, which we recommend.

Room Tip: Pay a little bit more for the superior room, and contact the hotel if you specifically want a double...
