Having known that Paris hotels are typically small I was pleasantly surprised by the value for money at Hotel Monterosa. The rooms although small (but not too small that you can't move) were very clean, tidy and modern with nice decor. We stayed in a standard room so just had a double bed but next time would upgrade to superior just to get a queen/king bed as this is what I am used to at home. The bathroom was of a good standard with a really powerful power shower, one of the best showers from my experience of hotels. The only thing I would recommend the hotel is to provide bigger towels. The breakfast is good with a selection of breads, cheese, hams, omelette, fruit, pastries and soft drinks are provided throughout the day free of charge. Although slightly out of town the location is great, we like the walk so
It didn't bother us and there is some nice little bars and restaurants in the area. The nearest train station is St. George however place de cliche is not a far walk either. I would definitely stay here again.

I was very happy with this hotel. It is in a great location near montmartre but on a quieter street, 2-3 minutes walk from the metro. The breakfast buffet was excellent and in a relaxed atmosphere. The room is small, but very clean. I would definately recommend it.

I use this hotel from time to time, good adress, good district. Close to METRO Line 12. Hotel is clean, rooms are very small, elevator looks about to break down but atmosphere is relaxing. Try to get a room on the back side as the street can be noisy at night. Employees are nice, good reception, cleaning is alright. I dont like the breakfast, coffee is less than god, and pastries were dry on my first day.
Overal good because location, dont go there if you are in couple, rooms are too small.

Room Tip: ask highest floor, far from noisy elevator and if possible on the back of the hotel

nice little hotel, simple but clean. perfect location close to montmartre, pigalle & sacre coeur.
opera by foot within 10 minutes. our room was small but fairly equipped. heating & cooling manually adjustable. for those who come to paris to watch tv - a flatscreen is mounted to the wall.
3rd and 4th level with small balconys to the roadside. the personnel is helpful and more than friendly. would come again.

Approx ten mins walk from two metro stations - both of which will take you anywhere you need in Paris. The hotel has been refurbished and offers a high level of comfort, but it is not a full service hotel, in that the restaurant is there for a very good breakfast and after that provides complimentary hot and cold drinks and simple cakes and fruit and there is no bar. Receptionists all speak perfect English and go out of their way to be genuinely helpful, giving tips and ideas and being very happy to make calls and book things for you without expecting commission or tips. The bedroom was compact, but had everything we needed, a bath/shower, IKEA type open wardrobes, safe and for me the joy of a really good free wifi service that worked easily on Apple and PC products! Location wise if you head north from the hotel on foot to Pigally you'll find the Moulin Rouge just a few minutes away and lots of sex shops, but if you head south instead you'll see no red lights and hit Trinity cathedral and then soon after lots of big shops, Lafeyette is only 20 mins away. I would happily stay there again :-)

Room Tip: Rooms at the top on floor 5 are noisy at times because all the water tanks are there and you are ver...

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable boutique hotel in the centre of Paris. Nicely decorated room. A bit small and thin-walled though. Outdated but clean bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Conveniently located nearby St. Georges metro station.

Room Tip: Look for deals that include breakfast, snacks and WiFi.

Just back from 3 nights stay at Monterosa. It's a very nice hotel, small, we had a fairly small room on 5th floor with a skylight that let in fresh air. Also high above the noise of the city. Easy walk to St Georges metro and to Montmartre. Good bars and cafes all around, and a bakery and tabac on the corner. Free soft drinks and snacks all afternoon, and the man on reception was very friendly and helpful. Left our bags there on last day - no trouble.
