I recently stayed here with a group of friends for the weekend. I came over to run the Paris marathon so location and comfort were of paramount importance. As soon as we arrived I was impressed with the customer service. Marion from reception sat us down and went through the best way to get around and gave us lots of helpful tips. I have stayed in hotels all around the world and have rarely received such friendly and helpful service. My friends also had a young baby and the staff were really great and made sure that my friends had everything they needed. They also put me in one of the rooms with a bath that was invaluable post marathon. The rooms were clean, had character and the wifi was excellent. The location is good. I managed to walk to all the major attractions. There are some excellent restaurants and bars within a short walk. I would defiantly stay here again. The hotel ticked all the boxes but the real highlight was the excellent customer service. I also ran my fastest ever marathon. A great weekend all round.

Nice hotel, walking distance to all the great attractions, good breakfast, comfortable bed with 2 large pillows each, large windows in the room and high ceilings. And best of all; there were snacks, soft drinks and coffe avalible all day long, a small thing to make the visitors happy :)

We were welcomed with a seat & drink on arrival. The hotel was spotless & the staff were friendly.
Complimentary drinks & snacks were available in a bright seating area from 1-10pm. Close to Montmatre which is packed full of lively restaurants & small shops.

We stayed at Monterosa hotel for 3 nights April 3-6. Convenient area a bit off the center however within walking distance from 2 metro stations ( st. George and Pigalle) with convenient connections to all major attractions. Located in a quiet street close to bistrots boulangeries and nice cafés. We were given room 503 on the top floor which was an attic with a vaulted ceiling and a big window on it. Room was rather small but with modern minimal design and a very comfortable bed.. Bathroom large with bathtub and clean. Only downside the small towels. Breakfast was included in the rate and was more than adequate selection. Staff was very polite. We enjoyed our stay very much and if you also consider the reasonable price we would stay here again. Fully recommended!!!

Room Tip: Room 503 with a double bed in the attic

Just came back last night, it was a really good stay and would be very happy to return. On arrival the shower door of our room wasn't working however they accommodated us in the Joyce hotel directly across the road and were apologetic and helpful. The staff were all very helpful and smiling. The hotel was clean, breakfast was good and it is in a great location as well. Metro and bus stop about 3-5 mins away from the hotel so was perfect for getting around also the street it was down was nice and quiet so we slept well. I would defiantly reccomend as I did take ages to look for a hotel as I didn't want to have a bad stay. It is great value for money and I would happily stay again!

Monmatre used to be a lovely artistic place with little local cafes. Now it's quite rough and I wouldn't recommend it.

If you want to stay in the area, then this hotel is a great choice. The staff we lovely and the room large and clean with a bathtub and a decent telly. We booked directly with the hotel and got breakkie included (which was delivered to our room, albeit incorrectly).

It was noisy (other guests) and the balcony view wasn't really worth looking at. The air con didn't work and a couple of guys came around in the morning before check out to fix something on the door. Like the area, this hotel is a little rough around the edge. Oh and the lift has space for one small smurf only!

Room Tip: Room 404 is a great room

We stayed at the Hotel Monterosa from 18 to 20 March, 2014 (2 nights).
The Hotel is close to the Pigalle station (2 and 12 lines) so the commute was quite simple.
We arrived a bit earlier than the actual check-in time but were welcomed and registered immediately by the reception staff.
We got a room on the 3rd floor (there is a tiny lift, too, no worries) which was really nice, clean and light. We set up the wi-fi connection with the codes that the receptionist lady gave us in no time. (Don't expect wide corridors and huge rooms though, it is Paris.)
The en-suite bathroom was clean, soap and shower gel was there ready to use, along with the snow white towels that they changed every day. It had a small shower (would be tight for a grown man, for us it was OK). Be prepared that the bathroom is not soundproof :).
There was a huge TV on the wall, in front of the bed, so we could watch the news in English, too.
The (included) breakfast was really nice, continental breakfast, offering at least 3 different pastries and breads, omelette, yoghurt, salami, cheeses, fruit salad, sausages (yamm), 20some variation of marmalade, teas, coffee and juices. It was a lot and delicious. And the good news are that there was always a few croissant left in the evening, waiting for the tired tourists who just came home.
It was a nice stay for us, nice staff, reasonable price, with a good night sleep. We would stay in this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone.
