Cute boutique hotel that has a good, central location; close to a Metro station, shopping and cafes. It's also walking distance (about 15mins.) to Rue de Rivoli, The Louvre and The Seine River.

However, we did have a couple of problems during our stay.
1. We reserved for 2 beds, but got 1 bed when we checked-in. The hotel stated that they sent a confirmation email but never got a reply. We got it sorted out, but had to pay 10EUR/night and had to wait in order for our new room to be ready.
2. Elevator is tiny - With 2 people and 1 luggage each, we were cramped.
3. Hair dryer was bad - It looked more like a vacuum and didn't really dry our hair.
4. Bathroom sink will make a mess. Whether you're short or tall, there will be a big water mess.
5. Password-protected free wi-fi for hotel guests, but it was a bit spotty.

Nevertheless, considering the location, we only paid about 100EUR/night each. I wouldn't mind staying here again.

The room is cozy and clean. Location is very convenient, close to opera where near to Roissy bus station (about 5mins walk) and shopping area.
When I made a reservation, I have requested early check-in, and I received an e-mail that subject to availability. Upon arrival about 11am, I was told to store the luggage and come back 2pm even though I saw many people were checking out. And staff was not friendly. I was traveling with 5years old child, and outside was raining, I wish I could check in earlier.
Overall it is nice hotel.

We had a lovely stay in room #51 which faced the road but was large, modern and had two sets of French windows on to a balcony, although unfortunately it was not the time of year to make use of this. Our friends had a room at the back which was not as modern, although the bathrooms were both like new with glass sink and nice tiles etc. Our room had a wooden floor with a large space around the bed and between the bed and the dressing area, so I guess it depends which room you get. It wasn't cheap but then you're in the centre of Paris!

The road noise wasn't too bad as it's not a main road. Some people mentioned the coffee shop at the end of the road for breakfast, but unfortunately it's closed at weekends!

The hotel is in a good location placed between two metros both equidistant Madeleine and Opera being 5-10 minutes walk. Which also means there's lots in the area to walk to, whether it be shops or eateries. We walked from the station but that was to get a feel for the area as it's quite a way, the metros are near and handy with connections to other lines, so not too many changes to get to where you want to go.

We would definitely stay again, making sure we request the same room again.

The staff is usually very helpful and welcoming, but it also depends on who you get. This hotel has a lot of potential especially in updating basic things like the old key system that is a nuisance. The furniture can use a serious update. The tiny single elevator can often test your patience. Few single rooms are too tiny, but most rooms are spacious by Paris standards (I stayed in 3 different types)
Overall this is a fine 3-star hotel that during peak times may be a bargain. With reasonable expectations, it delivers. The location and access to so many attractions make it a good choice

I had a cosy, clean room with two sweet windows, nicely decorated. Very small bathroom but it had everything it needed. I can't remember having heard any other noise from outside my room, at all.

Staff is truly friendly although they "couldn't" find me an extra blanket.
Location is ideal because of connection to three metro lines. Still, all in all, the price is expensive.

Volney can offer you a nice place to stay and to travel around Paris in their beautiful places. It's located at 2 minutes walking distance of a subway station.

The hotel was in construction and should try to give something in exchange to customers due to the bad look and noise of the entrance.
