“Nice little hotel in the heart of Latin Quarter”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2014

Stayed 4 nights in this hotel. It was surprisingly good given
the low Paris standards. The room was small but tidy. I have had windows
directly into the bustling Rue de la Harpe and it was loud at night, but this
is what I wanted and liked. The location is simply superb and most of the staff is
helpful, especially the guy who I think was the manager.
The internet connection was reliable and breakfast also quite good.
Very easy to reach with RER B from the airport stop directly
around the corner.

The only problem I had was trying to get tea for breakfast. The water they put
out was often too cold to brew the teabag, so I started to go to the kitchen
with a cup in my hand in order to get the tea brewed.
But then again - who drinks tea in Paris. Also their elevator was
suboptimal, I guess it is the best you can do in an old house like that.

When I am back in Paris I might stay there again!

Dear Sir ,

Thank you for your nice review.

Just like many of our guests , you enjoyed our location . It is indeed a very convenient place to be as you can get straight and easy access to tourist sites such as Notre Dame , the Louvre Musem, the Orsay Museum, the Pompidou Centre within walking distance ,but also the Luxembourg garden or the Sorbonne.

Very easy access to public transport as well ( metro line 4 St Michel ) or RER B St Michel Notre Dame, from where you can reach directly Charles de Gaulle airport.

Besides , there are many restaurants , grocery stores and supermarkets you can choose from according to your budget .

As you say , our area is also a lively and bustling place , too noisy for some people , but quite suitable for yourself.

We are sorry about that little inconvenience about your tea being cold but our staff is always ready to help you find a solution to your problem.

Guest satisfation is our priority and everybody in the hotel is deeply involded to provide an efficient service .

Please note two things : First , In France , even if most people prefer coffee in the morning , we do drink tea as well, not as much as they do in England , but still.

Second , our General Manager is a woman , but on duty , everybody is a bit of a manager in his or her position.

Hoping to see you again if you plan another trip to Paris .

Best regards.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in June. Our room was on the first floor and faced onto an internal courtyard. The room was tastefully decorated, clean, bed comfortable and being away from the street, was relatively quiet, although we could periodically hear people in the next room and water running down the water pipes from the rooms above. We were frustrated with the wifi, as it was difficult to get access on most occasions we tried during our stay. Even when brought to the attention of management, the situation did not seem to improve. There was a small breakfast room on the ground floor which served a basic continental breakfast.

The hotel is in a busy tourist precinct, surrounded by many eateries, (including one we tried which was of dubious quality), souvenir shops and retail stores. It was close to Metro stations and the RER was at the end of the street, which provided easy access to the airport (40-45 mins). It was within easy walking distance to Notre Dame (10 mins), Musee d'Orsay (20 mins), and the Louvre (20 mins). The hotel was okay, but not sure I would stay here again as it didn't represent good value for money to us.

Every room in our hotel is different in terms of size, decoration, , with shower or bath .We are happy to hear your quiet room met all your expectations in spite of the noise heard from the rooms next door .

Hoping to see you again if you plan another trip to Paris ( if you change your mind ).

Very well situated in the heart of the quartier latin, avoid most of the tourist restaurants nearby! Nice rooms but street noises from restaurants is disturbing and at 6:30 am you have the garbage taken away! Didn't slept much!

Room Tip: Must be on the back!

But the Reception is always ready to help you find a better quaility restaurant in another area , or not far from the hotel .

We are sorry to hear you were disturbed by the noisy streets .

Unfortunately, there is no better time to pick up the garbage than early in the morning .

As all the restaurants and the shops in our street are open in the afternoon

We do hope to see you again if you plan another trip to Paris , and this time we will make sure you get a quiet room facing the back of the hotel .

Best regards.

I return to this hotel always when I come to Paris. The location is excellent, in nice Latin Quarter, very closed to Seine River and Notre Dame and to different public transportation (RER B directly goes to airport, with many buses you can go to Opera or Louvre). The staff is very helpful so you fill to be at home.

Loved this cute hotel! Our room was a little out dated, but the location was the best right in the middle of the Latin Quarter! tons of cute restaurants around and only a few blocks from Notre Dame and all public transportation. The hotel staff is excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was included in price and was great! Would stay here again !

We stayed here by accident. Our hotel that we were meant to be in had a problem with our booking and arranged for us to come here. The staff here where extremely helpful in a difficult time for us. For me there are a true example of how to provide a service above and beyond most people. The room we had was a double room but like most places is in fact 2 single beds pushed together. The lift is only big enough for 1 person and 2 bags. If you have a problem with stairs then ask for a first floor. The stairs are the old style short and steep but the floors seem close together so for me getting to the 5th floor wasn't to hard. Most people seem to use the stairs anyway. The hotel is well positioned to the hop on hop off buses and a number of attractions. It is well maintain and very nice to stay in. I will defiantly stay here again if I ever come back. Pat on the back to all

Room Tip: Ask for 1 floor room if you have a problem with stairs

Dear Sir or Madam,

Thank you for your nice review.

First of all , we are sorry about the problem you encountered with your booking with the other hotel you were supposed to stay. But we like the idea of being the ones who saved your day , and your stay in Paris. As they say 'every cloud has a silver lining,' and all is well that ends well... in the end.

Anyway, just like many of our guests , you enjoyed our location . It is indeed a very convenient place to be as you can get straight and easy access to tourist sites such as Notre Dame , the Louvre Musem, the Orsay Museum, the Pompidou Centre within walking distance ,but also the Luxembourg garden or the Sorbonne.

And as you mention a hop on hop off bus stop near Notre Dame .

Very easy access to public transport as well ( metro line 4 St Michel ) or RER B St Michel Notre Dame, from where you can reach directly Charles de Gaulle airport.

Besides , there are many restaurants , grocery stores and supermarkets you can choose from according to your budget .

Most of people tend to think our rooms are small ,but we make sure they are clean , comfortable and functional. As for the lift , it is definitely small but still can be helpful .

Our staff is deeply involved to help and give advice to the guests so as to make their stay enjoyable. Guest satisfaction is our priority

We do hope to see you again if you plan another trip to Paris .

Best regards.
