“Paris without a visit to Cafe Laurent is not complete!”
Reviewed 23 September 2013

Simply said, we can't imagine going to Paris without stopping in for a glass (or two) of Deutz Millesimme and some live jazz at Cafe Laurent. Flavien is the best. Afternoon libations or evening with music, take your pick, or preferably both... every day.

“Drinks in the romantic patio”
Reviewed 19 September 2013

The evening after my boyfriend proposed on the Eiffel Tower, we had dinner near our hotel and then wandered the streets until we ducked into Cafe Laurent for a few drinks. They have a cozy bar, but their interior patio is absolutely enchanting... twinkly lights, flower arrangements, trailing vines, a fountain set into the wall... it was dreamlike and the perfect ending to a completely perfect day. The service was courteous and not at all intrusive, and the drinks were excellent. I hope that one day we can duplicate that night... it is a memory to treasure, so I'll always remember Cafe Laurent fondly.

“a new take on an old theme”
Reviewed 21 March 2013

When I think of a café in Paris, I imagine sipping a glass of wine at a crowded outdoor terrace, watching chic Parisians walking their dogs go by... But on a cold and rainy March evening, Café Laurent offers a great alternative to the traditional parisian café - a tastefully appointed lounge with old world flair and yet a distinctive modern style in the furnishings and ambiance. The eponymous Laurent orchestrates at the bar, greeting customers warmly and clearly beaming with pride over the space he created. Certainly the bar is not inexpensive (a glass of champagne will set you back 17 Euros), but that's in line with the nicer hotel lounges in Paris. Service was a bit slow the night we were there (Laurent appeared to be on his own waiting the tables), but otherwise the café was a welcome refuge from the rain and the wind of late winter in French capital...

“Relaxing ambience”
Reviewed 29 January 2013

Great little bar with live Jazz on Thurs - Sat evenings from 9pm. It's a great place to sit, relax and enjoy the music. There is a minimum charge of €10 per person for your first drink on Jazz nights - quite OK by me..... I paid €14 for the strongest gin & tonic I've had in my life and didn't need another!
In addition to the small bar area, there's a lounge area with open fireplace that would be a great for conversations with the Jazz more in the background; and for wamer months, there's a patio area in the courtyard.
Get there early to be sure of a seat.

“Pleasant bar; nice snacks, free wifi and friendly staff”
Reviewed 18 June 2012

Stopped in on way to meet friends for dinner nearby. Needed to charge phone (sorry!) & wanted an aperitif. Rather empty at 6:15 pm on a Monday, but enjoyed excellent olives & mixed nuts with a good cocktail. Unexpectedly, adjoining hotel reception desk was quick to provide wifi password. Appeared to be a nice music venue some nights.
