“great location, cheap and cheerful hotel”
Reviewed 23 October 2013

The biggest plus is the hotels location, right in the centre of Paris and next door to Chatelet RER/Metro station. The hotel is basic and the room we were in was small. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. If you are after a cheap hotel and don't want all mod cons then this hotel is fine.

Be prepared to sacrifice all comfort. The rooms are *very* small. Literally, you will need to move furniture around just to lay your suitcase on the ground and open it. The furniture is old, bulky and practically useless. The elevator starts at the second floor and it barely fits one person. The walls are so thin that I could hear my neighbor coughing and talking on the phone. To get into the shower, you need to climb on a slippery tile. Worst of all, the staff was very rude. There are much better places to stay in Paris, avoid this one.

Just back from two nights at the hotel agora. Lovely hotel, very tiny building and rooms but tons of character, very clean and friendly. Amazing micro lift but it works! Staff where friendly and helpful, rates reasonable, very central location with great metro links. I was on the 5 the floor with a tiny but useable balcony overlooking an interesting street scene with classic architecture everywhere. Lots of good bars and restaurants. Some may find it a little 'intimate', everything is very small but I thought it added character and I loved it and would definitely recommend. Only criticism - no kettle in the room but I wasn't really expecting one

The location excellent in paris center close to metro station gate in 7, rue de la Cossonnerie, 75001 Paris, France . close to ,cafes, shopping area..

I booked single room it too small , hot & old furniture. I do not like the Wi-Fi
Very weak in my room & if it connect hang or log out fastly, the window in my room dirty in the corners.

The elevator too small it for one person &one bag, i can not sleep at night from the noise
outside the hotel until maybe 4 0r 5 AM .

the staff helpful but not solve the Internet problem..

this hotel bad deal in pairs relay excellent location & very good price but you can not sleep
in my opinion pay more to have better hotel , if you came one day like me i advise you
stay in quiet area like le defance, montperance, reppublica.

The room is hot and small. Most of the staff are not helpful.
Wifi never works and lift is so small that I cannot travel with my luggages.
Highly not recommended for non-backpacker!

Police station is just next to the hotel and no need to worry about even come back at late night.

The entrance to the hotel is not particularly prepossessing but the receptionist on the first floor was very friendly. The hotel must own what is possibly the smallest lift in the world but it felt perfectly safe if a little cosy to use. Our room was clean and had a nice view over the street. Even at night or in the early morning when there is a fair bit of noise outside you wouldn't know about it as the double glazing is first class. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spotless. The restaurant opposite called "Aux Trois Maillets" is very good and reasonably priced for Paris. They also had live jazz music on the 2 nights we visited. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel preferring to use the "Pomme de Pain" around the corner - a cafe expresso and a croissant (very fresh) for less than 2 euros. We would certainly return to this hotel. Great location too.

Amazing location, standard room and a good price. It was right beside the metro, and in the heart of the city. Close to lots of the big attractions, Notre Dame. The Louvre, Lock bridge etc Only a few stops away from the Eiffel tower (I walked it but it was further afield than i thought!) The staff were friendly and helpful. The lift was hilariously small so just took the stairs. Rooms were clean and well kept. no air con so was a bit stuffy but at the price I wasn't anticipating it.
