If you are looking to be centrally located in Paris, this is the place for you! Close to Rue Cambon minutes from Concorde subway station and one street off the Louvre. It is a cute boutique hotel with amazing staff: friendly and helpful! Breakfast at 10 euros is a steal.
Only negative was the noisy AC in our XL suite- The rest was near perfect!

The hotel was in a nice area good for sightseeing, close to the champs and Louvre. I was in a single bed room with ensuite bathroom. The staff was very nice and helpful and the room was very clean and had a robe for the shower. Only 2 negatives: 1. Not in a good location for nightlife if you're young and into that kind of thing. 2. The bathroom was in the same room but down some very steep stairs... which can be dangerous if you're drunk ;)

Dear Guest,

We are very pleased to know that you had a pleasant stay in our hotel. Thank you for your compliments about the staff and the cleanliness of our rooms.
As regards the location, it is true that the 1st district of Paris is well known for the luxury shops, but as you mentioned, we are also closed to the Champs Elysées famous boulevard, the Louvre Museum, Opera and another important sightseeing.
We understand your opinion regarding our duplex single room and next time don’t hesitate to ask us your preference in type of room.
We hope to welcome you again.

Kind regards,
Andreea

This hotel is very reasonably priced considering its prime location in the first arrondissment, withing walking distance of the Louvre, l'Opera, Place du Concord, Tuileries, Musee d'Orsay and the Champs-Elysees. The rooms are newly refurbished, and though garishly decorated, are clean. However, the least expensive double is 242 Euro/night, for the smallest room this side of a broom closet. There was literally only 3 feet of space on either side of the bed and my husband and I had to take turns navigating around the minuscule room. Also, there is absolutely no shelf or storage space in the bathroom (which has a shower only, no tub), requiring bathroom necessities such as brushes, makeup, contact lens supplies, sundries to be crowded onto one very tiny desk crammed into the room. The bathroom sink was totally inefficient, with no means of controlling water retention in the sink. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and our room was quiet. Air conditioning was excellent. Though I felt crowded and closed in, there's not a better hotel location for the money.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for having shared your feedback regarding your recent stay with us.
Our hotel offers different types of rooms with various decorations signed by Christian Lacroix. We regret to know that you were disappointed with the size of your room. For your next visit in Paris it will be a pleasure for us to propose you a Junior Suite (25-30m2), the largest room of our hotel.
We appreciate your review and we look forward to welcoming you back for a next trip in Paris.

Kind regards,
Andreea

This little boutique hotel is absolutely perfect for those looking to explore Paris. Located within a few minutes' walk from the Louvre and practically across the street from the Tuileries Garden (1st Arr.), we found it to be a gem. Yes, the rooms are tiny, but well appointed and not lacking modern conveniences. The shower was excellent, bed very comfortable and the WiFi connection worked just fine, albeit a little slow at times. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful--our special thanks to Andrea and Nicola! The only thing which was surprising is the lack of an iron in the room. Instead, we found a menu with prices should we want anything ironed. A note to management: it would be a very good idea to include an iron in rooms as a convenience for your guests--a simple amenity that goes a long way to please your guests. Other than that, highly recommend staying at Hotel du Continental.

Dear Emily,

Thank you for taking time to post this review about your stay at our hotel. We are delighted that our staff and the location met all your expectations.
We are very sorry to know that you needed an iron because on request we provide it, with a board. You could just ask the reception desk and we would be offered one without any problem! Next time let know the front desk about all your needs and be sure that we do our best to satisfy them.
Thank you for your high recommendation!

Sincerely,
Andreea

When we arrived, we were told there was only one room left even though we made our reservations long ago. We were informed the room was two levels, with the bathroom about 10 steps down from the bedroom. We had room 18. It was off by itself with two doors 8 inches apart to get into the room. This was good for soundproofing, but not very useful for getting into the room. You couldn't open the interior door all the way because the bed was in the way. Then end of the bed was about 8 inches from the wall. To get the suitcases in the room, we had to throw them on the bed. The fan on the a/c ran well. The a/c, however, provided no cool air. Fortunately, the windows provided some relief. The bathroom was 19 steps down a turning staircase, not very manageable in the middle of the night if you know what I mean. On a positive note, the bathroom was fairly large. It was just the weirdest setup I've ever seen. There was no offer of a price adjustment for the "uniqueness" of the room. The response was "some people like a bigger bathroom". We were both a little dumbfounded at the response. One of the windows was out of alignment and getting it in to a locked position was difficult. We told the young lady at the front desk, but there obviously was a communication problem with French versus English. We never mentioned the a/c because it was late by the time we figured out that it didn't work. It was the smallest room we've stayed in except for a hostel in Florence Italy. On a positive note, you can't beat the location and we needed "location" for our short stay in Paris. Oh, the young lady at the desk was totally useless in helping us figure out how to get the subway/train with the strike going on. Obviously we had a different experience than most people do. We reserved it based on the reviews.

Room Tip: If you want a big bathroom, go for room 18! If you need the bathroom in the middle of the night, av...

Dear Kelly,

We would like to thank you for having shared your feedback about your stay amongst us. We are very disappointed to read all these inconvenience about your room. This duplex double room is effectively very unusual because during the renovations we tried to optimize as much as possible the space of each room of our ”Boutique Hotel” situated in the middle of Paris.

This concept can be confusing or sometimes surprising, depending on each guest.
Moreover, we try to understand how the reception desk was not helpful regarding the public transportation strike..we would like to mention that underground transport was very disturbed at this time, especially at Gare du Nord, where we informed you that you might change the train to get to the CDG Airport. The reception desk does not have all the information than at the underground station, where a specialized personnel was available to provide full details of train schedule.
We are very sorry that you had a bad experience, because this is the first time when we have such a low ranking.
We are not trying to find excuses, we try just to provide you the answers and support that you might need after this experience.

Sincerely,
Andreea

Just about all hotels (unless you pay a huge amount of money) in the center of old cities will be somewhat with small rooms. Understanding this, this hotel is a gem.
Its fairly priced
Its close to everything (no need to use the metro)
The people are very friendly

Great for couples to see the city of paris :D
