“A wonderful place to stay in Paris”
Reviewed 5 May 2012

Beautiful, clean, confortable, cozy, what else should I tell about this small and friendly hotel.
The receptionists know you by the name, they are so kind and gentle.
Bathroom is very clean, and also are the towels, sheets and room. As you can see in some pictures it was restored and have a very modern decoration and sofisticated.

Be side the hotel there is a Bistro, where you can have a breakfast if you choosed this option, In case you didn't you can have a wonderful french breakfast paying there, or ask them to put in your account.

I couldn't stay in a better place than here in Observtoire Luxembourg.
It close to every where and there is a RER station a cross street. If you prefer you can walk on the Boulevard St Michel and see Sorbone, Pantheon, and by the Gaden you can take the Yellow bus (open city tour) or take a bus, train or metro, and you go from here to any place in Paris. The hotel is one block from the Luxembourg Garden.
You will feel at home!!!

My parents needed a place to stay while they visited me and though I picked Observatoire simply based on looks, we had no idea how wonderful our experience was going to be or that it would quickly became our second home. This excellently located hotel has possibly the best staff I've ever encountered-- from the restaurant, to the front desk, to the housekeeping, everyone was so warm, helpful, friendly, and everything you could want from a hotel staff (especially Moustafa). You are within walking distance from one of Paris' most vibrant neighborhoods (the Latin Quarter), which is loaded with excellent entertainment, dinning, and sight seeing (both popular and off-the-map). Now this hotel has become our Parisian hub and we cannot wait to return next year to visit our new family.

This was a great place to stay on the left bank - near enough to walk to all the main places we wanted to see & just across the road from the lovely Luxembourg Gardens. The location made for the easiest possible journey in from the airport at Charles de Gaulle as the RER stop is literally 2 minutes from the front door of the hotel. The rooms are very clean and well fitted out. The bed was one of the comfiest hotel beds I have ever slept in! We met a number of different staff during our stay and everyone was so friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: The rooms on the top floor are smaller than other floors and less bright, but they are quieter, as t...

We loved this hotel so much that my wife and I decided to stay one more day. Our three year old son also loved it. The staff were all great especially Mustafa at the reception. His friendliness made the trip even more unforgetable. We will return there next year and I have already recommended my friends who will stay there this summer. We walked to Notre Dame, Louvre, Arc du triunph and all along Champs Ellyses. Wonderful experience, good price. There is also a nice breakfast and restaurant/bar attached.

Very happy with our stay here and would recommend. The hotel is next to the rer station meaning convenient transport links to the airports and main railway stations. The room was very clean and the hotel staff helpful and friendly. Plenty of resturants and bars within 10 mins walk offering food and drink to suit all tastes. Booked via the hotels website and saved some money as breakfast was included. Wouldnt hesitate to book again if visiting Paris.

This Boutique Hotel is perfect. It was just renovated last year and it is soooo very clean and convenient.
It is far enough away from the hustle and bushel to be nice and quiet at night and yet it is within walking distance of almost everything including the Metro, Notre Dame, and a lot of the famous restaurants including the Polidor from Woody Allen's "Midnight in Paris" to the very elegant and pricey La Tour d'Argent both only a mile away. There are open air fruit and vegetable markets, a super market, and a pharmacy within 1 block and the Luxembourger Park right across the street. We could also walk to the tour agency CityRama to make arrangements for all the day trips we wanted to take to the Loire Valley and Champagne to name a few.
The Hotel has its own cafe and a view of either the main Boulevard Saint- Michel or its own garden.
The staff is very helpful and very pleasant, it was nice to see people smiling.
We highly recommend this Hotel for Cleanliness, affordability, and of course LOCATION.
