Stayed three nights with my wife and our two daughters (a 2 1/2 year old and an 8 month old). Great location - easy access to Metro/RER, cafes, restaurants, supermarket, etc. Short Metro ride to Jardin to Luxembourg. Arrived via Eurostar into Gare du Nord. Left by plane from CDG. Easy trip to airport (no stops). Staff were very friendly and went out of there way to be helpful. Apartment was neat, tidy and functional - perfect base to explore the city from

Four adults in the family stayed 5 nights in a one bedroom apartment. The apartment is small but possibly on par for central Paris. The limited size of the rooms meant there was only space for 2 at the small table provided for meals. The kitchenette was again small but functional so we managed to cook simple meals. The fold out bed was comfortable as was the one provided in the 'bedroom'.
The floor of the apartment is painted cement with a couple of rugs making for a rustic feel.
The bathroom was tight but well presented.
There was construction going on next door which added to the noise and dust.
The plus point was the location, close to a laundrette, grocery stores and restaurants. Close to the metro and RER lines means easy access to the city and airport.

Stayed here for one night with a group of friends. Good location near a metro and staff were friendly and helpful. We were given a studio apartment on bottom floor with a spacious bathroom jacuzzi and sauna. Would recommend this to others and visit again.

Our family of 3 people stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment for 4 nights in the end of August beginning of September 2013. We liked the apartment very much; the location was excellent, just in the walking distance from metro, shops and restaurants. It was some construction work next door but it only bother us little bit in the morning (they started work 8 am and finished 5 pm, no Sunday work). I assume it is temporarily and soon enough construction will end. The rooms were very cozy and the outside of the apartment was very pretty with some flowers and grapes in the pots. Both leaving and bedroom were good size and had opening windows; the apartment was very clean and had everything we need. There was no air conditioner but since the weather outside was nice it was very comfortable inside (maybe if weather outside was very hot it would be the problem). The apartment staff was very friendly and available from early morning until 8pm. We would stay here again!

We stayed 3 nights in Helzear and you get what you pay for - we had comfortable accommodation: bedroom bathroom and lounge/diner/kitchen with a sofa bed - which was clean and adequate. Staff were great - customer service was good. The bathroom was accessed via the main bedroom - neither had a window but as we were a family - 2 adults and a 16 year old we could keep door open. Wouldn't be ideal for 2 couples necessarily. Son had bedroom as bed was against the wall and if 2 of you were in it and the one against the wall gets up in the middle of the night........We had a problem with a leaky shower - resolved after first night and a gurgly sink - sorted itself out at the same time. When sofa bed was out - restricted room but it was only when we were sleeping. There were building works next door but that's not Helzear's fault - we are early risers so wasn't an issue - and we were only aware because we had the windows wide open. Well situated for metro/parking/sight seeing/shops and restaurants which were more in our budget than those along the Champs Eleysee - beautiful Italian Restaurant: Swann et Vincent worth a visit. We would consider staying here again as we felt the price was correct for the accommodation - you don't get 5 star unless you pay 5 star prices.

We had a pleasant night in a quiet area. Room was comfortable although not very spacious. I wouldn't recommend for elderly given the number of stairs to reach our room. Despite this we had a wonderful stay. Lots of good restaurants are located nearby. Staff was very helpful and efficient.
We will probably go back there as it is a good option especially when you compare with hotels of similar standing in the neighborhood. Good choice although not the cheapest.

Room Tip: Would rather recommend room at the ground floor.

We booked an apartment for I two night stop-over in Paris at the end of our summer holiday. We found Helzear online and it looked delightful - clean, light, great location etc.

We were appalled when we arrived. We had booked an apartment designed for 7 people (as a family of 5 so as to have more space) it was described to have 2 double beds and 2 sofa beds on our order confirmation. However, we found we had been given a 5 person apartment with only one double bed and 2 sofa beds. This was even more disappointing as the sofa beds are very uncomfortable and creaky. On sofa bed was in the Living area and once it was opened you had to climb over it to get across the room, this however, was still better than the sofa bed in the other bedroom - once the bed was out it 100% blocked the entrance to the bathroom. So you couldn't enter it without climbing across the bed and scrambling off into the door of the bathroom.

The creaky beds and cramped apartment and VERY UNCLEAN floors and bathrooms( covered in hair and dust when we arrived ), whilst unpleasant and depressing we're not the main factors that ruined our short time in paris. It was the NOISE. All through the night there were street cleaners and motorbikes and god knows what else and then as I finally started to get some sleep after a thoroughly disturbed night the BUILDING WORK RIGHT NEXT DOOR STARTED AT 7am!!!!!! (They are building some apartment complex next door that is barely started and doesn't look as though it will be finished until at least SPRING 2014.

Over all I would NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.

there was also NO AIR-CONDITIONING and NO WINDOWS in either bathroom or the MASTER BEDROOM. so it was also unbearably stuffy

Room Tip: Don't ever go here. A HOLIDAY INN would be preferable compared to this.
