“Lovely seafood”
Reviewed 25 October 2013

Had a beautiful seafood soup and main course of salmon at this very stylish restaurant. It sits amongst the lovely streets of St Germain de pres. The service was very friendly and spoke English.

“Was very disappointed”
Reviewed 15 October 2013

The Maître d was very friendly and quickly seated us but that was pretty much the high point of the evening. The sole that my wife w/meunière sauce was expertly cooked and presented but absolutely Slathered in butter. I ordered Langoustines with tempura batted fresh vegetables but it just didn't meet expectations. We ordered a nice Sancerre for dinner, most of which we poured ourselves. It was a busy night but there were plenty of waiters and yet service was amazingly slow! We ordered the Grand Marnier Soufflé for desert, it just never set-up and ended up being a soup. Reservations were easily made on line. When making on line diner reservations (for seafood) for our trip I was between Le Dome and Le. Petite Zinc... I chose wrong.

“Outstanding in Every Way!”
Reviewed 3 August 2013

We recently returned from a 12-day European tour. Before dining at Le Petite Zinc, we thought the best food in Europe came from the car and truck stops on the autobahns! And we're hardly joking about that. Every portion of our meal at Le Petite Zinc was outstanding, from the mozzarella caprese salad appetizer, to the beef burgundy main meal to the warm chocolate lava cake dessert. While at other restaurants in Paris, we were treated indifferently as Americans (even walking out of one as no one would come over to take our order), our service team met all of our needs. Well done!

“Tourist trap”
Reviewed 21 July 2013 via mobile

My 13 year old son, with the title of this review described the place perfectly well. Nice area, nice corner, nice outside, OK inside. The waiters nice but, as mentioned in another review, at certain stage forgot about us and other waiters had to come on our help. It seems they do what they can. Tomatoes were not very fresh, mozzarela was not very mozzarela, lemonade was not lemonade but a watered Sprite. Between starters and main dish a delay of almost an hour. Trout nothing special, beef less than average, salmon never came (was included in the bill but deducted immediately after we mentioned that fact). For the type of food they served, it should hace been a cheap place, which it wasn't. We had eaten at Madeleine 7 at lunch, basically the same food. The place was nice as this one, the portions were fresher and bigger and it was substantially less expensive.

“Much better than expected”
Reviewed 20 July 2013 via mobile

The food and service was terrific. They even provided a doggy bag when we could not finish our meal. Typical dishes are well cooked. The Art Nouveaux interior should be seen.
