“Exquisite crepes!”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

On our last night in Paris, we found the restaurant "Josselin" through Yelp, but it was full and also did not take credit cards. The hostess/owner took us by the hand and walked us down the sidewalk next door to Le Petit Josselin, who we found out later was operated by her son, Georgo. He welcomed us with open arms and the menu was in French but with an English translation. We ate a entree crepe and then a dessert crepe. Needless to say, we waddled back to our hotel. This restaurant was located on what we dubbed "crepe row". It was truly a wonderful "last supper" experience for us.

“Get Ready to Smell All Over....”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

Upon reading reviews at Tripadvisor, we decided first to go to Le Josselin but there was at least one hour long queue and we did not want to wait that long. After walking couple of steps, we arrived in front of Le Petit Josselin, which is in fact the sister restaurant of Le Josselin. There was no queue in this one, so we entered. In fact, next to our table there were 2 French ladies, locals of Montparnasse and when we asked them why Le Josselin was so crowded, they said it's because a web site wrote very positive about it and now all the tourists are coming and that, in fact, Le Petit Josselin and Le Josselin are sharing the same kitchen.

So, though we did not reach our goal 100%, we thought that we were still on track in terms of our plans. But I have to confess that we did not enjoy our experience at all.... First of all, as they prepare the crepes in an open kitchen, you smell from hair to toe after the first minute inside, that was almost disgusting. Second, it's very crowded, very noisy, very cramped: no chance to have a proper conversation, no chance to take off your jacket as you will definitely hit your neighbour at the adjacent table. It's just a mess.

On top of it, our crepes were not delicious at all. Most probably the crepes were prepared some time ago and they did not taste fresh enough. Our experience was so disappointing that, we did not finish what we ordered and we left in the middle and opted for another restaurant.

“Good food and fast service”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

Le Petit Josselin is very close to the Edgar Qinet Metro station.

First time we reached the restaurant @ 4:00 pm and were informed they shut down in the afternoon and start again @ 6 pm.

So back we went after a few days around 6:45 pm. We were shown to our table immediately. The hostess was very cordial and the moment she realised we do not speak French she had an english speaking waiter attend to us.

Fitting into the table is an art in this restaurant. It is a little cramped but people are friendly and they do not mind a little bit of jostling when people move in and out of the tables. They have all come here to enjoy the crepe's and not to have a luxurious 5 course meal.

The crepes are slightly over fried but taste amazing. They are different from the rest of the restaurants in Paris

Try to reach before 6:45 pm to get a table without any waiting. A must visit on your trip to paris

“True French Experience”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

Popped into Le Petit Josselin since the sister site, Crêperie Josselin, had a long line. Very pleased with the authentic Paris experience. A favorite with the locals, not a touristy place. Crepes, both savory and dessert were very good, fresh, and hot. We also enjoyed the fermented cider. Service was fairly quick given they were completely full and staff was attentive but not bothersome. The restaurant is very tiny and you will share space with other diners. No room for the typical American "bubble of space". I would both recommend Le Petit Josselin and return.

We had amazing crepes here. The staff was friendly and efficient. The wine and cider paired nicely. And dessert was excellent.
