The resturant was near out hotel. We enter there after we were vert hungry and seeked for spmething to eat. The first impression wasn't good. The place is small and dark. BUT the food was amazing and the staff was freindly and kind. We came back the day after..

“Fun place, good food”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

This restaurant was just down the street from our hotel. It's very small - we had the last table and it was raining a bit - we were outside and getting dripped on a little. Our waitress was very concerned and did everything she could to keep us dry and comfortable. As soon as another table was available she moved us. We were given good food recommendations and enjoyed our meal. There were lots of young diners and the atmosphere was lively.

“Good Thai food”
Reviewed 20 July 2013 via mobile

Restaurant is casual and welcoming; the decor is bright and quirky, with Thai souvenirs and travel-themed items. It is, as noted by other reviewers, easy to overlook from the street. We ordered 3 different starters and 2 different mains (one duplicaton). All were quite good, but none were spectacular. Seasoning seemed to be authentically Thai, though considerably less spicy than in Thailand. Ingredients were very fresh. Chicken Pad Thai was a bit too sweet for our taste; "nems" and shrimp ravioli in coconut milk starters were worth ordering again. Tea was unlimited refills, as the menu stated, but we had to ask for every refill. Service was good--the space is so small that servers are never far away, but more than that, we felt that the servers sincerely wanted us to have a good experience. I forgot to take photos--will try to do that if we go back--but don't let the one (currently) photo of the food scare you away. The restaurant has proper utensils and the food is served on brightly colored ceramic dishes.

“Based on the accompanying sauce - great thai flavors”
Reviewed 19 July 2013

Its hard to review the restaurant on food as i was dining with my fussy three yr old. I ordered grilled salmon filet (16.50 euro) which wouldhave come with salad but i requested plain steamed rice. I asked for the fish to be grilled plain ( for my daughter). The fish was cooked perfectly. The accompnaying sauce in a small dish was delicious - salty, sour and a touch of spice. So my judgement is based on the sauce only. Drinks were ( as often the case in paris) expensive, 3euro for a 180ml bottle of orange juice, 3euro for tea ( which was not refilled although the menu stated it was unlimited). It is a tiny restaurant with some outdoor seating. Service is terrific. A very convenient option if you are staying nearby esp since they open early(18:30). Fresh, good service and a nice healthy break from french food.

“Good Thai but not spicy”
Reviewed 1 June 2013 via mobile

I enjoyed our meals at Up Thai but the curries(Green/Red) weren't as spicy and thick for my taste. The fish with green mango was delicious and the shrimp dumpling with coconut sauce was a truly thai flavour. The place is tiny better to arrive early. I would go back but I wouldnt order any of the curry just not strong enough but the other dishes were delicious
