“Rude”
Reviewed 11 December 2013 via mobile

During our stay in Paris, everyone has been unfailingly polite and friendly. Until we stopped here for a glass of wine.

It must have been close to closing time, we were told we had 20 minutes to drink and get out. "don't touch the bar - we're cleaning!"

The bordeaux wasn't even worth the attitude.

“Nice little find”
Reviewed 8 June 2013 via mobile

Our hotel was on the same street and we didn't want to walk far so ended up eating dinner here. We were given a table overlooking the street. Very Parisian but very noisy with trucks and motorbikes going past! However we felt we had found a typical restaurant that locals ate in so this made up for that and we enjoyed watching the world go by. Food reasonably priced and of good quality.

“Casual lunch”
Reviewed 3 June 2013

This place was on same block as our hotel and we were looking for quick lunch.
I was glad to see a salad on the menu, I ordered one and my husband ordered liver.
Both dishes were pretty good, service was fast and it seemed that a lot of local were having lunch there as well.

“Friendly and great food.”
Reviewed 21 May 2013

Just down the road from the hotel we stayed in. After the first visit we used it twice more because it felt as though it had become our local. The staff, from the owner down, are so friendly and great fun. The food is just to die for and is cooked to perfection. Please try the tart du jour, especially if it's pear.
You'll never feel rushed and you're made to feel part of a family.
Paul et Sue (hope that makes Michel smile).

“Superb bar/brasserie”
Reviewed 8 May 2013 via mobile

Always busy with locals from 7 onwards we thought we'd try as it was opposite the hotel and we'd had a long day of walking. We attempted our best French but they saw through us and spoke English for the rest of the evening without making us feel we were not trying. Service was superb with the waiter never stopping but making sure we were ok. Food was good, if ordering steak in France remember rare means just dead. Overall a superb little bistro.
