I actually liked this place. Very popular among locals. We were refered here by it's sister restaurant-L'Office. I havent made up my mind how to feel about that still-I guess it was a good thing. The wait staff spoke very good English. I thought they were attentive, considering (my party disagree). Had the scallops here and it was good.

We live on the rue Richer, and the restaurant scene around us has exploded over the past few years. This is our new regular, and would be even more so if they changed the menu more regularly. The young staff, particularly the management are friendly and competent. The food is excellent and innovative, as is the wine list. The only hassle is that you can't book, though if you want a more formal dining experience you can go across the street to L'Office, which is run by the same people.

We visited after a recommendation in The Guardian. The waiter told us it had been madly busy since the newspaper let the cat out of the bag. It was billed as a good 'budget' bistro, however £80 for 3 course dinner with wine for two wasn't exactly cheap. It was excellent, however. They were so busy that we sat at the bar to eat, with a number of other people, and there was a big gaggle of people waiting when we left (on a Tuesday night!) but we received very good, friendly, knowledgeable and swift service and were made very welcome. We chatted to a local Parisien guy who rated the food highly when compared to other local places. Couldn't afford to eat there every night but for a treat it was great.

A real find on rue Richer, fast becoming a foodista hot spot.
Great French bistro food from seasonal products (dont expect strawberries in winter).
Limited but great choice of wines.
Smiling service.

We actually diner here twice during our visit since we liked it so much on our first night. It's not fancy, the menu is small, but the food well prepared and delicious. Servers were very helpful and attentive. The wines by the glass were excellent. It's very busy and doesn't take reservations, but it's worth the wait.
