I have written many reviews over the years, and this is one of the only negative reviews I have ever had to write. I needed to write it, to warn others to avoid this restaurant. The only positive was the wine, which was good. The food was truly ghastly. I ordered a salad nicoise and my husband ordered roast chicken. I am genuinely not a picky eater, but when the food arrived I must admit I balked slightly. The chef had emptied a tin of tuna over browning lettuce leaves and stuck on a hard boiled egg which was more grey than yellow. There were a few black olives on the plate and I would genuinely like to know what they had done to them, as they were totally devoid of flavour. My husband did not fare much better. He was presented with a scrawny chicken leg, which he is convinced died of old age or starvation. It was covered in an unidentifiable sauce with lumps in, which also covered the 'dressed salad' of browning lettuce. Funnily enough, lettuce and 'gravy' do not go. He did also have some chips, which were good. Needless to say we were unable to eat our meals and left shortly afterwards. There are many restaurants in this area - ease do not choose this one.
