Very informative. No waiting in lines and full of great information. Also gives access to the roof of the Jules Verne restaurant which is unique and allows you to take some pics without the hordes.

I booked the Behind the Scenes Eiffel Tour and could not be happier. The weather was uncooperative, but I'll be upset with Mother Nature for that one. Our tour guide Thomas was exceptional. He was very informative, pleasant and very genuine. Our tour began with an interesting history on Eiffel himself and then proceeded across the Champs de Mars to an underground bunker where we learned of the military history behind the Eiffel Tower. During this part of the tour we were able to see a piece of one of the girders with the colours that Eiffel has been painted in the past (I never knew that it was once red, and not brown). From here we went to a special elevator that took us to the underground to see how the pulleys work, which was very interesting. Next another elevator to the second floor where we were able to take photos and learn about the electrics. I'm not sure if it was the time that I went (a Saturday in May at 10am) but we did not wait in lineups for any part of the tour. While we were going to the elevator to go to the underground I noticed a snaking line of people that were waiting at least an hour and half to go up. Our elevator from the underground to the second level helped us avoid that. I loved this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone!

Our Cultival tour guide at Palais Garnier Opera House was knowledgable and very engaging. The tour group of less than 20 seemed smaller than other groups. The online booking was simple, instructions of where and when to meet were clear and accurate, and the price (only 4.50 euros above the usual 10 euros general admission) was worth it. We learned so much on the 90-minute tour, and we we're invites to continue and explore on our own after the tour ended.

We thoroughly agree with everything said by sifeldman, London below.

It is great to be able to skip the long lines, and you do get to see a lot more than you would otherwise. The meeting point is easy to find by the North pillar. It is important to be on time, as the response to the review below indicates. A family did not arrive for our slot on time, but our guide did everything she could to find them later, leaving a message with a colleague while we did the first part of the tour underground.

Best of all was our wonderful tour guide, Irene, who interacted with all our 20 strong group and was really informative with a BRILLIANT sense of humour.

This is a must do, but book well in advance as it does get booked up months ahead.

Don't trust this company. We booked Eiffel Tower Tour tickets. They didn't show up and when I called they said I was late and missed the tour. There were a number of people standing around in the same situation as well. None of their customer service numbers worked so I actually had to call a sales line to get through to them. They were uncooperative and actually said 'too bad you missed your tour, there is nothing we can do.' The epitome of bad customer service.

Dear Mr Ron,

We’ve made some research to understand what happened to you.

It appears that the guide and the rest of the group (13 people who booked for this guided tour) waited for you at the meeting point but after 10min they couldn’t wait more. As you may know, during this guided tour we have to take the elevator to reach the second floor and we are compelled to strict schedules.

Every day we make everything possible to content all our customers, and we are very sorry to read such a bad review. Unfortunatly, you may understand that if you arrived late, we couldn’t compromise the rest of the group.

Sincerly,
The Cultival Team
