My wife and i stayed here for two nights in mid-June to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We travelled from the airport by train to Gard Nord, then used the Metro and got off at Oberkampf. The hotel is about a five minute walk from here, if you go the right way!

The hotel is really nice inside the lobby, and throughout. The rooms are well proportioned for a city hotel, and the bathrooms are especially nice. We had breakfast here both mornings for convenience. It's 15 Euros per person but it's self service so you can have as much tea, coffee, pastries, cereal, bread, eggs and fruit as you like. So it's good value and pretty good.

All members of staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. The two receptionist/managers we met were especially helpful and spoke very good English so i didn't have to use my basic French too much.

The only criticism i had was the location of the hotel. The Oberkampf area is not bad but it's just not a place you would chose to go to. Even the Bastille area we were told is a nice place to eat turned out to be pretty average. The walk from the hotel to Bastille was not very pleasant as it took us through areas with a lot of homeless people, and any shop that didn't have shutters was either covered in graffiti or had partly smashed windows. I would therefore recommend using the Metro as it's only a short journey if you wish to go to the Bastille area.

If you want a very nice hotel and are happy to use the Metro, which as i have already mentioned is cheap, quick and convenient, then this hotel is ideal. If however you want all the main attractions on your doorstep, or you want to walk to such places you need to be more central.

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights, and it was wonderful! We had two triple rooms and both were wonderfully decorated, clean, and the beds were comfy--even the pull out bed! Beautiful bathrooms! The staff was excellent-very accommodating and helpful with tickets to museums or arranging transportation. They were friendly and wonderful to our children! The hotel was located in a quiet street, but just minutes from several metro stations. We spent several evenings hanging out in the lobby enjoying their "honor bar" which is a self-service bar with soft drinks, adult beverages and snacks. It was a lovely retreat after a busy day of sightseeing. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Room Tip: We had two triple rooms on the first floor near the courtyard, they are apparently bigger and quiete...

Stayed for 4 nights with my husband. Stunning lobby area on arrival - very chic decor. Service was very friendly and helpful. Location was good - very near the oberkampf metro and a few nice bars. Our bedroom was quite small but beautifully decorated. The only negative point I have is that the only English tv channel appeared to be a news channel. For the non french speaking guests this is not great. I have stayed in hotels in remote Cambodia with more choice! We like to watch a movie some nights after we get back to the hotel following dinner before going to sleep. But its a small point - overall we were very pleased with our choice of hotel and would definitely recommend.

This chic urban boutique hotel was our home base for our 5 night say in Paris and it was phenomenal. The lobby is all post industrial nods to the structures former role as a factory but its as inviting as it is funky. The staff was incredible. They can do anything. Restaurant/shopping/tourism advice aplenty was doled out with ease and charm. The rooms were small (hey it's Paris) but our 3rd floor rooms had a grew view of the neighbourhood skyline and the bathroom had a nice tub to boot. The decorating was slick too, with interesting lighting and more pleasing modernity. It's not exactly in La Marais from what I understand but it was a 5-10 minute walk to amazing shopping, food, drinks and general funkiness. Then about 15 minute to Notre Dame, or, you could just hop on the nearby Robert Lenoir metro stop. The gym in the basement was minimal but I was the only one ever in there so it served its purpose.

Really fabulous boutique hotel - we loved our stay here! It's clean, beautifully furnished and the rooms are not too small (or expensive) by Paris standards. The staff were really welcoming and always very accommodating, no matter what time of the day or night it was. The hotel is situated in a quiet street about a 15 min walk to the lively Marais quarter, or a 25 minute walk to Notre Dame. There are also two metro stations about 5 minutes walk away too, so we found the location - although not RIGHT in the centre of the city - perfect for us. We would come back and stay at this hotel in a heartbeat and definitely recommend!

This is our last night here and I wanted to make sure that I leave a review. Superb! It is very well designed boutique hotel . It used to be a textile factory. Really small ( which I love) 4 floor de/8 rooms on each floor on average. My family had 4 rooms and they were all all different color scheme but pretty much the same. Great staff , make sure to talk to them about sightseeing plans, we were able to get "no waiting in line" to Louvre and any others recommendations. It's located I a very quite part of Paris , which we loved as Paris is a very busy place. about 3 min walk from the metro. Breakfast is very good, 0(additional cost) we only ate it once and I wish we ate here every morning. I could go on and on,....I loved the interior design... Fantastic bathrooms and the lobby , that looks like someone s living room w/Restoration hardware furnishings. Rooms and bathrooms are small ( but everything in Europe is) you won't regret it great price too.Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: No pool and didn't use room service. No kids activities-but kids were very welcomed here. Every...
