I'm so very thrilled that Trip Advisor pointed me to this hotel. We wanted to be out of the tourist areas but still have easy access to all the tourist things we were planning on doing. This is the place. A fabulous, safe and vibrant Paris neighbourhood, with real people nearby living their lives. So many restaurants, cafes, and brasseries within very few blocks. Metro stations abound nearby letting us easily get to many points in the city (Catacombs, Notre Dame, Jardin des Plantes, Curie Museum, Les Halles). We appreciated being away from the hoards of tourists.
We were in a lovely room (room 107) facing the courtyard, very comfortable, with huge windows, lots of pillows, self controlled air conditioning and a splendid soaking tub in the bathroom. We were in a triple room, which had plenty of room for the three of us, including two separate rooms for the toilet and shower/bath.
Staff was the friendliest and most helpful of all we met during our time in France. We arrived around 1;00 before our room was ready, but were able to drop off our luggage, walk down the street for a kebab lunch then stroll through Pere Lachaise. We returned around 3:00 and our luggage had been delivered to our room.
The honesty bar is a great touch and very appreciated after our long days in the city. My 11 year old now wants a milk steamer at home for any time access to steamed milk. Small fridge in the room that indicated it was not for food storage, but managed to keep our cidre chilled well. Wireless access was free and we had great signal throughout the room. Many near by bakeries for breakfast, but we did take advantage of the breakfast on our last day before metro'ing out to the airport, this was reasonably priced considering kids were free, but in general, plan on having breakfast out.
Hoping to return in the fall for another visit, and without a doubt this is where I will stay!

The 33 guestrooms are as stylish as they are comfortable. Their decor plays on the dualities which have always enlivened the neighbourhood: graphic shapes and industrial furniture from the factories sit alongside highly colourful, quality fabrics evoking the workers' allotment gardens of the Menilmontant quarter. ... more less
