Of course, most of the "ris de beau" that I have had has been in the US, the meal was exceptional, from the smoked salmon to the Bourgogne. Je l'adore!

When entering we realised the room was at about 17C.. had to keep our coats on. Then we order a nice steak and lamb chops. My steak arrive more on the cold side than warm... and both chops and steak were not tender and we had to chew them a lot. Not a nice experience and certainly not an address I would recommend with so many choice in Paris.

We ate here on the recommendation of our hotel receptionist, and very pleased that we did, too! Great food, good choice of menu; plenty of "deals" (starter plus steak plus wine for XX), attentive staff, and not everyone was a tourist - there was a french family, some businessmen - regulars by the look of it, some spanish students with their parents in tow, and sundry couples like ourselves. Will definitely eat here again next time we're in Paris. We got there pretty late on a Friday night and didn't need to book; afterwards we went for a walk and passing the restaurant again, abut 12.30 a.m., it was still going strong.

On good recommendation from Tripadvisor, my husband and I decided to give this bistro a try and it turned out to be a winner. This bistro sells ambient atmosphere, hearty service, and a big menu. Those carnivores will find that about 2/3 of the dishes are beef/mutton dishes, but they do not lose interest in taking care of others. We ordered a crabmeat ravioli in crab bisque to share. It was the best ravioli we have ever tasted outside Italy. We also ordered a lamb shank and a shrimp and scallop risotto. For the former, the lamb shank sat on a bed of greens, including French peas, broccoli, and artichokes. The lamb meat was tender and it literally fell off the bone. The risotto was full of aroma of white wine, shallots and onions, and the shrimps and scallops all cooked to perfection. These are very lovely dishes and the owner and chefs we'll deserve a round of applause!

Followed the impressive TA reviews when staying nearby to find this place. One of the nicest places I have eaten at in Paris for some time. Warm welcome, very interesting menu, delicious food.
