“Feel like a Parisien in Le Marais”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2014 via mobile

We visited for 2 nights in August. The super small hotel is located in the heart of the Marais neighborhood. Everything was arranged smoothly prior to our arrival. The room we had (4) was somewhat small, but this suits the concept of this small boutique hotel. A comfortable bed, large windows facing the street (well isolated) and a good shower made this a good place to spend a few nights.
Breakfast parisian style is served in the tiny, cozy, and tastefully decorated "lobby" by a friendly lady. Fresh fruit, nice croissants, everything was done very well. A fridge in the lobby offers free mineral water and juice.
The hotel is situated in a building with other tenants, which makes you feel like you live in Paris, too.
I can recommend this super small boutique hotel to anyone looking for a stay in Le Marais who is interested in feeling like a parisien.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights and can't say anything negative towards it.

The staff was very kind and helpful, the room looked like promised and both bathroom and toilet were very clean and very well maintained. The bed was good (I prefer slightly different type of mattress, however that’s just nitpicking, because someone else might like this one).
We could put our luggage into the room even before the official check-in, which was very nice, because we arrived to Paris quite early on Friday. But this is probably possible only if the room is empty beforehand.

A few notes that might come in handy:

- Coming to the hotel might be a bit tricky. There is a small label on the building entrance only. However, Google Maps will point you at the exact spot, so no problem. You’ll receive two codes before your arrival – building code, which you have to enter upon entering to the building (twice consequently for two doors) and room code, which you use for entering the hotel facilities on the first floor (for US guys – that is the first floor above the ground floor) and to enter your room. Upon first arrival, enter the doors that have the 1er Etage logo next to it. We missed it for the first time, but we were a bit clumsy.
TIP: I strongly recommend to write those codes down on a paper, without it you won’t be able to get into the hotel and keeping it in a phone only might not be reliable enough.

- The hotel is partially self-service (the staff isn’t always there). It’s not a problem at all, but it might be worth knowing this.

- The breakfast was very good and it is provided by the staff that is there in the morning.

- The stairs to the first floor are quite steep. Not a problem for most of you, but keep that in consideration in case you have issues with these kind of things.

Overall, I can only recommend this hotel.

Nice neighborhood, in a walking distance to almost everywhere you want to go; that is – if you like to walk, you’ll get to Eiffel Tower in 1 hour or to Montmartre in 50 minutes. If you don’t like to walk, you can always take the public transport or taxi.

It is very likely that we’ll return to this hotel next time we visit Paris.

PS: I particularly enjoyed the shower, which was very refreshing after a day spent in Paris and provided a proper stream of water.

This is a lovely place to stay in Paris. Great location in the heart of the Marais area. It feels as though you have your own, very tastefully decorated, apartment for the weekend. The rooms are lovely, beds comfy and bathrooms a joy. A proper shower, not a cramped shower over the corner of a bath, makes all the difference after a hot day sightseeing! Juliette and Serge are lovely and incredibly helpful, providing great restaurant recommendations and insightful local knowledge to help you see Paris as the Parisians do. Lovely breakfast of fresh fruit, breads cheese and pastries is another welcome addition to set you up for the day. This place gives you a comfortable base with a side of independence, thus you almost don't feel as though you are in a hotel at all! Would go back and would recommend

"hotel 1er etage"
My husband and I spent 5 nights in this charming little hotel with all modern amenities including a great bed, air-conditioning and a wonderful shower! Besides all the comforts of home, the owners Juliette and Serge were so helpful with planning our days starting with a fabulous breakfast and wonderful conversations- they are just adorable!!! I highly recommend this little gem and staying in the Marais - we walked to fabulous dinners almost every evening. If you are looking for charm and personalized service, this place is the one! When I return to Paris, I would stay here again!

Room Tip: There are only five rooms, we traveled with another couple and they all seem to be equal

We just loved this hotel. Located in the Marais district it was close to the sites of Paris. Arrived early and were able to leave our bags at reception and also for when we checked out as our flight out was late night. Stayed 7 nights and were well looked after by hosts Juliette & Serge. The room was modern with all the comforts your would want after touring all day. A continental breakfast was served in a common kitchen/dinning room. No hesitation in recommending this hotel for your next stay. Ed & Karen, Melbourne - Australia

Perfectly located in the heart of the Marais, a lively, fun and convenient area as a "home base." The hotel is small and intimate with only 5 rooms which are brand new and beautifully appointed in a tasteful retro style. Beds are large and very comfortable and the common area is is the perfect setting for the lovely, elegant breakfast. Owners Juliette and Serge were absolutely delightful and wonderful! So helpful and accommodating in every way, they made us feel like family, offering invaluable advice and assistance with touring, transportation, dining - anything we needed to make our Paris visit a great pleasure. Je reviens! Barbara and Steve, NY-USA

Room Tip: All rooms are similar and there is no street noise.

We found this hotel on Trip Advisor and based on the reviews we decided to book a room for 4 nights. I am so happy we did!!! The Hotel is not really a Hotel in the traditional sense it is more of a Bed and Breakfast which my wife and I loved. The room was large enough for the two of us and are two very large suitcases. The A/C was excellent.
The bathroom and showers were (by far) the best we have had in Europe! The water pressure was great and plenty of hot water. The toilet was separated from the shower, this made getting ready in the morning easier and the bed was very comfortable and plenty big enough for the two of us. The décor of the room and hotel was modern chic and it felt more like I was staying in someone’s lovely Paris home as opposed to a hotel.
Now for the really good part, breakfast is included and my wife and I found the meal to be enough to keep us satisfied well into the day. Fresh breads and croissants, homemade jams, fresh fruit bowl, yogurt, ham and cheese plate, and coffee and orange juice - EVERY MORNING included in the price of the room, the best deal in Paris.
The owner Juliette is a delightful, fun and enthusiastic person. She was very helpful with any questions we had about the city and places to visit. She also went out of way to help set up a car service for our return trip to CDG airport.
Since this is more of a Bed and Breakfast you do not have a traditional front desk and staff 24/7 but Juliette was available 24/7 by phone or email and was easy to contact throughout our stay.

Be advised that if you have mobility issues this might not be the place, you need to go up a wooden spiral staircase (20 Steps) to get to the Hotel. No elevator, this was not an issue for us but thought it should be mentioned.

The bottom line is that I did not feel like I was staying in a hotel I felt like I was staying at someone’s beautiful home. I would absolutely stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 3 (there is only 5 rooms). The room was very comfortable and great shower, it has...
