Service level is extremely low... If you don't speak French most of the staff is happy to shout some Russian to you (difficult for people like me who don't understand Russian)

But comparing with other hotels around, good location for a reasonable price (and clean rooms)

A reasonable budget hotel with a very unkind staff. Luckily it is Paris and one doesn't spend much time in the hotel. Clean, but a very unconfortable low headroom, shower that floods the bathroom, noisy elevator (our room was close to the elevator)... No wifi in the 4th floor...

Room Tip: Far from the elevator and in the lowest floors must be better.

The outstanding thing of Hotel Fiat is it's location. The Metro is a few metres away, unlike some other hotels, you do not have to travel an hour by bus +/- metro to reach the heart of the city. Moulin Rouge, Sacre de Coure and many other places to see are nearby. I see one reviewer mentioning it as a Red Light District. In famous old cities like London, Paris, Amsterdam and many others, the so called "Red light District" means best of the Restaurants, bars, theatres and overall, a tremendous character of vibrance. There are plenty of Police patrol to keep the area COMPLETELY safe and, know for sure, you will not see shady characters roaming around unless you make special effort to reach out for them.
The hotel provides you a bed to spend your night, a clean, small room with an attached bath and basic furniture and even a lift big enough to accommodate one person and his luggage. You will have no problem in coming back late night, either transport wise or to find a locked door with nobody at the reception. If you are on a budget, there are small departmental stores and many many takeaways within walking distance. The reception people, I guess they are the owners, are very courteous and helpful.
In summary, if you compulsively need a luxury hotel as a part of your holiday, look elsewhere. If you use the hotel only to sleep at night after touring the city till you are dog tired, Fiat will be good enough a place for you. if your prefer to splurge money on some decent boat rides, to get to the top of Eiffel Tower, to spoil yourself in some of the classy Parisian restaurants, to enjoy Lido or Moulin rouge etc etc rather than spending money on a four (or five) star hotel, you may go for Fiat. Most important, as soon as you wake up, you are in the middle of the intoxicatingly beautiful city of Paris, not one hour of struggle away. I have nothing specifically negative to speak about this budget hotel. My family, very accustomed to 5 star luxury otherwise, somehow felt very affectionate about that hotel, so did I.

Place was so grotty, stank of smoke. The shower was broken, water was cold. The area is in the Red Light district of Montmatre which I found too seedy. The floor of the room was very uneven. It wasn't even that cheap. You would be better off spending a bit more and staying in comfort.

It is very comfortable little hotel. The rooms have everything you need, you will not find there something luxurious, everything is very easy and comfortable. If you would like to have a big room, take it on the top of hotel: it is kind of double but there are 4 beds and the room is quite spacious. There is polite staff, speaking in many languages (I am from Russia, the staff speaks in Russian there too, it is important for Russians I guess). If you are going to walk somewhere early (5-6 AM), you need to wake up a receptionist, else the hotel door will be close.
Fiat hotel situated at very good location - you do just 3 simple steps and you have Moulin Rouge in front of you. Next to hotel there lots of cafes and restaurants where you can try French cuisine and Starbucks where you can drink excellent coffee. Also there is Macdonalds not far from Fiat hotel where Russians love to eat that's why you can see lots of them.
f you don't like to eat at cafes / restaurants, etc., there is a store Monoprix, one of the cheapest local supermarket.
Fiat hotel situated near the metro Blanche.

Its a very good hotel. Room was small, but clean and we have a very nice balcony with a great view. Only one problem - in this hotel forbidden to eat in the room! Its a very strange. Breakfast was very simple. Also it's a great location - nice streets, many good shop, cinema, moulen rouge and 2 metro station.
