I celebrated my birthday with 14 guests at Privé de Dessert last Saturday. I contacted Sephora via email and she was quick to respond, proposing me a 3 course menu at 48euros pp with an apertif, coffee/tea and wine of course.
Sephora and her team took care of all of us in an excellent manner, speaking both English and French. She had even put in the effort of decorating the table with flowers and cute signs. The staff was attentive to when more wine was needed, and made sure we were all having a good time.
The food was of sublime quality and it truly is a very fun concept. It was the talk of the table, as we all had 3 choices for each meal.
As starters we had the Millefeuilles(tomato/burrata), gauffre(with smoked salmon) and a candied apple (foie gras). The millefeuilles and gauffre were most appreciated.
As a main course we had the Saint-Honoré burger, Millefeuilles (tuna and rice) and le Nougat (chicken with risotto). All three of the main courses were equally liked between the guests.
The portions were large and as the birthday cake came in, everyone was quite full. Nevertheless, there's always room for some real dessert, one chocolate cake and one fruit cake.
The restaurant has a friendly, cozy and modern atmosphere. Truly recommended for either a couples dinner or a group of maximum 20. You're in for a real treat and tromp d'oeil!
