We stayed 1 night at this hotel, at the end of July 2014.
The rooms are very small, but we had a triple room which was of an acceptable size, about 20-21 sqm. The room was clean and everything functioning OK.
The reception staff was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is located between 2 metro stations, Picpus (at about 200m) and Nation (at about 650m). It is a quiet area, with plenty of bakeries and places to eat around.
For people coming by car, they have an underground parking (about 26 Euro/ 24h) or you can park in the public underground parking (Nation), about 100m away (payable), or, there are plenty of parking places in front of the hotel (but payable, and for max 2 hours)
The WiFi was free and functioning OK.
I would recommend the hotel for short stays and for people who don't want to be close to the center of the city.

Room Tip: choose a triple room, otherwise there are very small.

Dear Matei_Flamaropol
Thank you for the review, we are so happy you had a good short stay with us. On another occasion we invite you to stay longer, you might discover the charm of our Parisian neighborhood and why some people prefer not to be always in the center.
Best Regards

We stayed here for my husband's 50th birthday trip to Paris, for two nights in late June. It was easy enough to find, about 5 mins from a Metro station. Its well located, taking about a 20 minute Metro ride to the centre (eg Hotel de Ville). There are local cafes, restaurants and bakeries nearby as well as other shops. The room was spotlessly clean, modern and although we were to the front overlooking a road, it was very quiet. The room was not large, and the shower room/toilet was compact, but really, your room is just a base, so it was absolutely fine. We would definitely go back again.

We first visited this hotel in February 2014 as a family in association with an 18th birthday celebration and based upon this initial visit we were pleased to return in July (2104). Our party on both occasions consisting of six people the youngest being 17.

The hotel is conveniently situated in the "relaxed" Nation area of Paris with two metro stations in easy walking distance, Picpus on line 6 being the closest (I estimate that it must be about 150m from the hotel, good news when travelling with luggage!).

The hotel itself has good facilities is very clean / modern and offers a continental breakfast that all of our family enjoyed. The hotel staff speak good English, are all very friendly / informed and offer good advice about how to make the best of your time in Paris.

Additionally before our visit in July 2014 we needed to contact the hotel to verify our booking, the requests that we made were fulfilled with exceptional efficiency by the hotel staff.

Around the hotel (distances of 100m to 500m) there are many restaurants offering different styles of cuisine.

We would definitely recommended the hotel as a tranquil base for a visit to Paris.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay here for the price. Everything is clean, the people were helpful and the courtyard is adorable! The rooms are definitely very small; however we spent most of our time exploring and very little time in the room so it did not matter much. The location is a bit far from most of what we wanted to do, but the metro is only a few blocks away so it was still easy to get around Paris! Also, the breakfast resembles what I'm used to as a continental/complementary meal and we ended up having to pay per person and per day when we checked out.

Hotel du Printemps was a good choice for the price. The 12th was a nice area, a couple of small supermarkets nearby also bakery, restaurants and bars close by. We enjoyed going into town then coming back and watching the world go by at our local bar on the corner. The metro is a short walk and there's a cycle station at the end of the road. We found this the best way ever to see Paris. I was a bit daunted at first because of the traffic but the cycle ways are good and you get to see parts of Paris that you wouldn't normally see. We enjoyed cycling along the seine on the left bank were we saw all sorts of interesting things happening that we just wouldn't have found otherwise, dancing, picnicking en masse, bars and restaurants. It's a cheap and easy way to get around, and in the 36C heat it was a good way to get a bit of breeze. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, it was very clean and had great aircon. The breakfast was reasonable, cereal, toast, croissants, eggs, muffins . The room was a bit small for an executive double but it didn't bother us oh and a bit of rumbling from the metro but it stopped at midnight. . A very enjoyable stay all in all.

Dear Rorysmum53
Thank you for your review and for recommending our hotel and its quality price ratio. Visiting Paris by bike is certainly a very good idea to discover hidden places at the right speed. With the Velib system you can very easily borrow bikes and return them at one of the nearest stations which cover the city every 200 m.
Hoping to welcome you again on a future occasion
Kindest regards

I booked a room 8 months in advance requesting a room on one of the upper floors. They assured me that they would accommodate my honeymoon request as it was well in advance.

Upon arrival, they only had the 2nd floor open. As we just arrived after many hours of travel from US, it was very frustrating. As it turned out, the room was very cute and homey. It ended up being a very nice place to stay. Very clean and on an extremely quiet street very close to the Metro. Worked out very well.

Room Tip: On the second floor, you can still feel (very slightly) and hear (also slightly) the Metro running u...

Dear Wayne n
Thank you for having chosen our hotel for your honeymoon in Paris. We are happy to see that you appreciated your stay with us and the comfort of your room. We are sorry that we couldn’t give you a room in an upper floor; in fact we gave you the highest room in the category you requested (superior double) but as you noticed, the second floor, corresponding to the 3rd floor in US standards, is also quiet.
Best regards

Though this hotel is located a bit far from the city center, it was the perfect place for a family seeking a bit of quiet from the constant Parisian noise and activity. It was a charming hotel and if you're lucky enough to get a room on the top floor, you may get to overlook some charming buildings across the street. Our favorite thing was to open our balcony window and people watch. Picture perfect.
**The hotel rooms are definitely small, as are the bathrooms. We felt it was enough space for the two of us but if you're accustomed to large rooms, then you may want to reconsider.

Dear Day Travels,
Thank you so much for your feedback after your stay with us. It is always a great honor for our team to receive a five star review from a TA Top Contributor. It is true that Parisian rooms are small for US standards; I guess that it’s part of the charm of the old buildings you liked to look at -:) . More seriously for those who need more space I recommend our triple rooms (only available on our official site).
Best Regards
