“Short Sojourn in Paris”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

This well located Hotel in the 5th suited me very well for my purpose. I have been to Paris around 40 times, and staying on the Left bank was a first for me. The purpose of my visit during the qualifying week of the French Open was both business and pleasure. I had a one bedroom front facing room onto the boulevard Saint-Michel on the top floor. So convienient for all attractions and the the Metro, restaurants, and the staff are ever so helpful....although I did not need directions, they were always ready for a chat and assistance.
Very clean, very Paris, and the location cannot be beaten.
I paid a visit to the Cluny Museum, literally a block down and was fascinated with it's medieval collection. Also exceptionally close to Jardin du Luxembourg where a walk amongst the lush grounds gives you a sense of the opulence of it's time.
For a clean safe and location perfect place, it ticked all the boxes for me.

Room Tip: Lots of local boulangerie for breakfast, close to the Dame and the University of Paris Medical schoo...

This hotel is in an excellent locality, Latin Quarters: about 10 minutes walking distance from the St. Michel metro station. I am amazed by the number of restaurants at the Latin Quarters, near St. Michel - I will not be surprised if there are a few hundred of them! The hotel itself is nice. I stayed in a double room in the third floor. The bathroom is in a split level, inside the room. There is a small lift. I had breakfast in the restaurant of the hotel. I would recommend it. The chef is a friendly person. The internet did not work in my room, though. It worked in the restaurant, though.

Room Tip: I wonder whether the Internet would work in the rooms in the first floor.

I stayed in this hotel for a week on my buisness trip. The single room was small, but overall I am very satisfied with this hotel and recommend to everyone who is on a short buisness trip. Good value for money, central location, friendly staff.

Really enjoyed our stay in this small hotel in a great location. The staff are very helpful and it is so close to many of Paris' attractions and hundreds of restaurants are within easy walking distance.
The lift will only fit one person and a suitcase but this is very typical of small Paris hotels.
We had a front room with small balcony with a wonderful view down the tree lined street but it could get a little noisy at night. A nice breakfast is available at an extra cost.
Overall this hotel is good value for money in a great location.

Room Tip: Choose a rear room if noise is a concern.

This is my hotel in Paris. On the Blvd Saint Michel, one block away from the Cluny Museum, close to St Germain, Notre Dame, Ste Chappelle, etc etc etc. and close to the Metro, RER and loads of buses (bus stop right in front of the hotel). Intelligent, friendly staff. Very good breakfast. It is not a luxe or boutique hotel, but the rooms are actually big enough for humans. I have stayed here in some lovely - and large - double rooms. This is not always the case in Paris! Outstanding value for the money, as well. Note: Not very noisy, considering the location.

Room Tip: No pool or fitness center.

The location is n the Latin Quarter of Paris, which is hustle, bustle and full of restaurants and shops. The rooms are very small as in any authentic hotel in Europe. That's to be expected. Bed is small, but comfy. The rugs, blankets, quite old and need attention. The reception desk, could use a little customer service. Internet is a pain to use. Asked for a bigger room and they didn't have one, that was ok. Asked for another pillow and blanket, was told we didn't have any. 20 minutes later, a knock on the door, there were the pillow and blanket. Very old blankets. Didn't take the breakfast, cause there was an extra charge for it, and who want's to eat inside when there are so many cute cafes in the area. Price point??? If your looking to sleep and don't care about anything else. Then stay.

When we visit Paris, we like a small and quiet hotel - no so fancy. The last three times we have lived at Hotel de Suez - and we will come back the next time also. It is near to almost everything we want to see and the Metro is not far away. The staff is kind and both the hotel and the people gives good value for the money! The only thing missing is A/C.

Room Tip: They have some rooms that are very quit if you not are used to traffic and noise. Ask for it!
