I just stayed here for a week in July. It's in a great spot just a few minutes walk from the Place de Vosges, the Marais, and Place de la Bastilles….It's a nice location also because despite being located centrally (if there is such a thing in Paris) it's on a quiet street so there's no nasty traffic at night. There are some tasty (and fairly cheap) little restaurants on rue Amelot; including the recently refurbished Thai that is almost next door. The reception staff are somewhat laconic... they're not springing to attention, but they're helpful and friendly. The wifi is very fast. The rooms are really clean as are the bathrooms - if not a bit dated for the decor conscious (not me). I'd crash here again for sure. Also worth mentioning is that blv Beaumarchais (next to rue Amelot) is full of very cool second hand camera stores if you're into photography.
