“Great Location”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

We stayed here in July, 2014 for four nights and found it to meet all of our needs. Sure, as Americans, we'd love to have much larger rooms & bathrooms, but it's Paris and it was just fine. The location is perfect, as it's situated in a very good neighborhood, within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower (about 20 minute walk). The entire staff that we encountered during our stay, all spoke English, which is always so appreciated! They were also very helpful at giving us directions and advice. There are plenty of cafe's and restaurants within a very short walking distance from here as well, which is very convenient. Very happy with this hotel and would stay there again.

My family of four stayed five nights at this small, but beautiful hotel, and have no regrets at all. It's in a very safe location, that's convenient as well -- only a 5-10 minute walk from the train station, a 30 minute jog from the Eiffel Tower, and right across the street from a food market. Best of all, the staff is very friendly, especially the manager, Kamel, who is warm, caring, and truly wants you to enjoy your visit to Paris. We will definitely be back.

I stay in this hotel during my business trip and found it as a very nice and silent and cosy place to stay. The location is good, not so far away from metro station, nice and quiet street. Room was clean, facilities good, staff friendly and speaking (a little) in english. Room was big enaught to have a good rest.

Room Tip: Good enought!

First time in Paris since a long time and I think I forgot how miniscule the rooms are. The hotel is located OK, close enough to the Metro. Hotel claims to be business hotel not tourism focussed, pity.

It was my first time being in Paris. I can safely say I had a wonderful time staying at this Hotel. The hotel staff were the most friendly guys I have ever met. The hotel is quite modest and very clean. It is surrounded by such a nice set of buildings that have been properly maintained for some time. While standing at balcony of the 4th Floor in the evening on the Western side, you will have a great view of the Eiffel Tower! Such a wonderful master-piece. If you want to eat-out...eating places are just around each corner you look at.

Thanks to the hotel guys for efficiently arranging a taxi as I had to leave quite early in the morning for the airport.

I shall truly cherish the Parisian experience!

Room Tip: Chose a room on the west side on the last floor. It will give you a better view in the night of the...

Typical small Parisian room in a quiet yet convenient neighborhood. Nice breakfast, accommodating reception. Unfortunately, staff at desk was yet untrained in issuing bill at checkout, which in the end took 20 minutes for this guest. Patience is one matter, but putting up with somewhat supercilious but not yet competent service is another.

Room Tip: Ask for room away from the street, not sure if rooms are big enough for couples, ask for one of the...

My husband and I stayed in this hotel last week for 5 nights as part of my 30th birthday celebrations. We had a truly excellent time.

Good points:
- Close to Porte d'auteil, Michel Ange Auteuil and Michel Ange Molitor metro stations. Porte d'auteil station is literally a minute's walk from the hotel and the others not much further. There was a bus stop that appeared to service one of the main routes (although we didn't use it)
- Friendly reception staff. They were all genuinely pleasant and helpful for the duration of our stay.
- Lovely area, felt safe walking about at night.
- There were lots of good amenities nearby (supermarket, cash machine, cafes, brasseries and restaurants)
- Flat screen TV in room
- Daily maid service
- Little toiletries in room
- Decent shower with good pressure and lots of hot water
- Comfortable bed
- Mini bar, with a selection of soft drinks, beer and spirits
- Nicle little terrace on the third floor with views of the Eiffel Tower
- Pleasant and clean reception area
- Free wifi, which was as fast as at home.

Things to watch out for:
- Rooms may be a tad small for some people's liking. I quite liked the quaintness of it though!
- It's hot! There is no air conditioning, and while you can keep your French windows and shutters open, our room looked out onto the main road, which was quite busy with traffic at most times. Again, I didn't mind this too much as it was all part of the experience for me! The receptionists were so lovely that I'm sure they would have dug out an electric fan for us, had we been bothered enough to ask.

We went to Paris for the Rock en Seine Festival, which was excellent, and then spent two further days sightseeing around Paris. This was our third time in Paris, and definitely the best. We even met Tre Cool (Green Day's drummer) which made the stay even more special (he is one of my heroes!)

Overall, we had an excellent stay at the Hotel Poussin, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it if you want to stay in a nice area of Paris (it's within zone 1 of the metro, the closest to the centre that we have stayed before) for a reasonable price. We found that it was easy to get into the centre from all of the metro stations nearby for sightseeing, and eating/drinking around the hotel was excellent after a busy day in the centre of Paris.
