“Very high on my Paris list”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 January 2013

I love this little haven - filled with great exhibits and some landmark images. Heck they even had photographs from my adopted home town in England dating back to the 1970s which was a pleasant surprise!

A calm but quirky building with some great lighting. Excellent value and a perfect place to escape from the bustle of Paris streets.

Not sure where it ranks in Paris Museums but should be high up there. I think I prefer it to d'Orsay

“What a great museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 December 2012

Of course it will depend on what's currently showing but this museum runs several exhibits at once and they seem to be generally very well done. The building itself is interesting and a little bit rambling inside, the neighborhood is great--relatively quiet, quaint and off the beaten track enough that it is not hugely crowded but easy to get to. If photography is of any interest to you, this museum is well worth an hour of your vacation time.

“Susan Paulsen + French photography 1950-2000”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 November 2012

current exhibition on Susan Paulsen on Wilmot, Arkansas is fascinating insight into family, small town southern US. Paired with this is a reasonably extensive chronology of French photography from 1950 - 2000 and an intriguing installation of Sarah N - prolific teenage self portraits. Always worth a visit

“What an exhibition!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 October 2012

I guess this will vary depending on when you go, but when I visited, I was blown away by almost EVERY exhibition (and there are a lot of them). The ticket was worth way more than the 4€ I paid for it (student ticket). I saw Claude Nori, Alice Springs and plenty other brilliant photographers. The exhibition is set up really well so you don't accidentally miss anything. And there is a nice café with a table of brownies that look as if they're for taking, but you have to pay for them. Enjoy!

“Good location, an elegant building..”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 October 2012

The location is perfect, the building is elegant and interesting but the overall experience will depend a lot on the exhibition you visit. I just loved the Alice Springs exhibition. Still there were too many small exhibitions and it was a bit overwhelming for me. ..
