This modern apartment is well furnished, decorated and equipped with all the essentials typically expected. The convenience of having a local market minutes walking distance away from the apartment is an advantage. There you will find fresh vegetables, fruits, cheese, wines and meat from friendly local butcher which you can bring back, cook and serve up in the apartment. Also, although there was only 1 bathroom / toilet suite, we found it relatively manageable in a travelling party size of 5 adults.
Travelling to and from London, the proximity to Gare du Nord station (cir. 15 – 20 mins walking distance) is rather convenient.
There has been some concerns, expressed by other past travellers, as to the safety of the area. My experience was that it had felted rather intimidating, at first sight, when walking towards Chateau D’ Eau (M) or anywhere along Boulevard de Strasbourg. However, I have found that the route from Saint-Denis (M) via Boulevard Saint-Martin then Rue Rene Boulanger and south side of Cite Riverin was rather a more pleasant entry and exit point from the apartment.
In overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would like to thank Chea-Lie for the ease of communication and arrangements for our stay.
