I stayed with a friend for 4 nights and paid 280 euros for a double bedroom with a private bathroom (which for centre Paris is REALLY good). We arrived at about midnight and paid everything upfront (which gave me a feeling that it might be a bit dodgy), however we were quite satisfied with our stay.
The bedroom and bathroom were clean, there were clean towels and sample size shower gel and shampoo. The water from the shower was really hot. The bedroom was equipped with a nice, but small flat tv.
There wasn't much space, and the bathroom was TINY, but after walking all day through Paris you just want to get to the hotel, have a nice shower and sleep, thus you won't need much space either way.
They made the bed everyday (but not with clean sheets).
The only thing that bothered me was climbing the stairs until the 6th floor, because they don't have any elevator (however they do inform you of that when booking).
The hotel is about 1 minute walk to the nearest metro/R station "Nation". About 10/15 mins by metro/R from the centre of Paris (less than 2euros single journey) and about 35mins by R to Disneyland (7euros single journey).
Breakfast is not included, but you can find a nice supermarket on the other side of the roundabout (about 3 mins walking).

Staff were polite and spoke good english.

Overall it was a good and affordable place to stay and I would reccomend it.

Room Tip: Ask for a bedroom on the first couple of floors, since they do not have an elevator.

I needed to spend one night in Paris in a hotel close to the Place de la Nation so I went to the Camelia Prestige Hotel. Not very costly but very average.... It was ok for one night ans it is actually 5 minutes' walk from the Place de la Nation. The rooms are very small and the bathrooms are tiny. The general impression is an old hotel which has been partly refurbished. There is no elevator which can be a problem if your room is on the 5th floor or if your luggage is cumbersome..... The only potive thing is the breakfact roomwhich is located in the basement and which looks like a medieval room .... something to be seen....So ok for a couple of nights not more....

Room Tip: depending on your ability do not ask a room on the 4th or 5th floor: no lift!!!!!

We stayed here for three night this month. The hotel is just 2 minutes by walk from nation underground station.
You can get tour eiffel in just 20 minutes by underground.
The lobby is nice and modern. The receptionists are useless, they dont speak english at all.
During the night i asked if it was possible to order something from outside, they said just NO.
For three days there wasn't internet connection and we had to stay in the lobby to use it.
The breakfast is very good, for 5 pound. You can found: coffee, milk, tea, croissants, pancakes, bread, nutella, jam, ect.
The room was small and noisy. They changes the towels every day.
I suggest to book a room in the first o second floor, because there is no lift.
You can leave to luggage after the check out and collect after.

We travelled here in August 2009.

We actually got this hotel recommended by friends, so we really looked forward to the stay. We were supposed to stay a week, but ended up there only 2 nights and had to find another hotel the next (and sadly the last) night in Paris.

When we first arrived, the first impression was good. Nice reception area and the staff seemed ok at the time. We checked in and had to walk up three stairs with our luggage (no elevator). The room was very small and the door was soooo thin! It had a kind of mouldy smell. The walls were dirty and the pillow was rolled in the sheets....(!) Weird!

We slept ok the first night, but It was quite noisy.

When we went to get some breakfast then next morning, we were surprised seeing a man (hotel staff?) doing the laundry in his underpants(!) right next to the breakfast area. I laughed inside, and we can handle seeing a man in his undergarments, but in this setting it was rather distasteful.... He seemed surprised to see us.... Haha!

Furthermore the staff this day seemed cold and rude, we didn´t have any confidence in them. Felt weird!

The breakfast was dull and boring, a croissant + marmelade and a cup of coffee. Not worth it!

When we came back later the same evening, we settled down in our room just to dicover that the noises had worsened and we heard people in the staircase all evening/night. When we were about to get some sleep, we started hearing suspicious noises, like people prowling around in the hallways and grabbed the doorhandles outside our room several times.

We started to feel unsafe and soon after we heard creepy noises from the room right beside us, (that room were in a process of redecorating and we saw buckets of paint etc. earlier that day, didn´t seem like it was in use). We first thought there were someone "getting it off" in there and they were really loud! A bit later it sounded like the lady were getting raped or something! She really screamed and we thought it was scary! I started to cry and we did not dare leave the room. (Was this some kind of brothel???) It lasted for about two hours and at that time we decided to TRY to sleep for three more hours before we packed our stuff and decided to leave for another hotel.

We asked for cancelling the rest of the stay, but they were not helpful. The recepcionist asked if it was because of "the noise", and I answered YES, amongst other things.... I said that this was not a pleasant stay and we felt unsafe there. After a long discussion we got some of our money back, but still cound not affort staying the week we had planned in Paris.

We got a cab at 7.00 in the morning who drove us to a hotel we picked out near Jardin de Luxembourg. It was maybe a 3-star hotel or more, but it was gorgeus and we felt like we had arrived at a 5-star spa resort compared to this dump.
It ruined our holiday....

The area was ok at day, but felt less safe in the evening. Did not like it there.

We went to the same restaurant both nights, two doors away from the hotel. They served us politely and had a lovely steak frites and good wine! This I can recommend if you want to eat near Place Nation. Royal Nation is the name :)

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! Yeah, it was cheap, but that´s the only positive thing we can say about this place.

Good price/quality, you get what you pay for.

The room is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It is no problem to leave your luggage with them the day you have to check out. The breakfast is quite good for only €5. The hotel is situated next to the subway and train station.

The room is a little small (especially the bathroom!) but you have everything that you need. There is no lift so you have to be in good shape if your room is on a high floor. Also the walls are thin, and the plumbing can make weird noises during the night sometimes.
