“The best Japanese ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 July 2014 via mobile

This place was wonderful. We asked the lady serving us for a recommendation and went with the 26€ each menu and it didn't disappoint! The bream & kiwi was amazing and a standout but all was fantastic and the service was also outstanding. Would recommend to everyone.

“authentic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2014

If you are fed up with sushi, yakitori and so on. Try this authentic restaurant. Near Notre-Dame-de-Lorette and Montmartre, you'll enjoy this japanese food. I had the "Verrine Shaké" and the "Tataki de thon".

“Elegant and Welcoming”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 May 2014 via mobile

There are a lot of good reviews for this place covering the freshness of food and brilliance of flavour, so I won't repeat them other than to say they are true.

Whatever you order will be beautifully presented, expertly balancing bold flavours with delicate textures. I'd particularly recommend the sardines in vinegar.

The food, although fantastic, took second place to the service for me. It's a small kitchen, only three people working, but they still managed to be attentive and kind and genuine and charming.

The lady who owns the business moved to Paris from Hong Kong 15 years ago. That's important because she knows her heritage but also understands the heart of Paris. And that's what this place is. Authentic heart.

Book or get there early (evening service starts at 19:00)

Highly recommended.

“Amazingly good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2014

This was not just the best meal I've had in Paris, but the best I've had anywhere for years. The food was astonishingly good - particularly the dourade ceviche with kiwi, which was to die for, and the salmon verrine - both so fresh, and with incredible flavours. Every dish we tried was exceptional. Service was lovely, warm and friendly; wine was good value. I loved it.
The restaurant itself is nothing special in terms of decor/location/atmosphere, but that just adds to the sense of wonder that the food is so superlative.
They were doing a fantastic special offer when we went - 40% off food at lunchtime - which also made it amazing value. At normal prices it would be more than worth it.
Whenever I'm next in Paris I will go back. In fact, I may go there specially.
