I'm not sure if this is what I can expect for the price in this part of town, but the moment we opened the door, we wished we spent extra $50 to get a decent hotel. Thank god we were only here for 1 night and spent a total of 5 hours to just sleep in this little hole.

First of all, they don't have anyone working on Wednesdays and Sundays, which would be fine, except we were checking in on Tuesday, and apparently they stop working at 230PM on Tuesday. They emailed directions which was fine, but we needed someone to help us book a cab and no one was available, nor was there a phone available.

Secondly, our room looked NOTHING like the picture on this site. The room consisted of the tiniest shower and bathroom - we literally could not move around inside. A tiny table and 2 chairs and a couch fold out bed (WTH). Once the couch fold out bed was open - there was no room to walk. The "bed" was super uncomfortable.

Third, the room was super dingy and smelled like stuffy mold. We had to open the window to try to air it out.

Urgh, I will NEVER recommend anyone to stay here.

close to everything! as a first timer in Paris, this was a good base to stay. centrally located, metro station is literally a stone's throw away. night life in the area is bustling! the room we had was old and dark- needs some renovation. ventilation was also a main concern. no airconditioning.front desk staff was very helpful and accomodating.

My husband, 3 young children and my in-laws all wanted to attempt a 1 night stay in Paris during a half term break in April. I wanted something in the center of Paris since we did not want to spend time on the public transport wasting our two days. But knowing that most hotels in Paris within a descent price range are the size of closets, we needed a bit more space for the children (or it would be mad) and we needed something that would not break the bank. The Residence Le St. Germain was PERFECT and the prefect location in the middle of the Latin Quarter! Exactly what we needed for this type of stay. We just needed a comfortable LARGE space for 1 night with a GREAT price. No frills of breakfast or even any staff. And the residence manager was great in meeting our needs when it came to the set up of the room and holding our baggage pre-check in and post check-out so we could tour as much as we could. In regards to the huge floor suite we had (4 beds, baby cot, 3 baths) the furniture may have been a bit old but the room was clean and with all the needed amenities for one night...even a great kitchenette, perfect to brining your own groceries, snacks for the kids etc. I would highly recommend this to anyone that is going to Paris to see and taste all of Paris as much as possible. If you want to spend time at a "hotel"...I suggest another place. But if and when I return to Paris, I would definitely choose this option again so as to enjoy all the of the Latin Quarter and the rest of Paris as much as possible.

We are a family of 5 with 3 kids aged 10, 12 and 14 who just came back from apartment for 6. It is a great location not even 150 feet from the Cluny/St michel metro stop. RER from airport was incredibly easy. Lots of great restauarants nearby and a monoprix where we got basic groceries. Our apartment was on 3 levels. Entrace level had a liveing room and kitchenette/dining area. Down a few steps was a sleeping are with 2 twin beds, down even further was a nice big bathroom with tudb, toilet and sink. Upstairs was anotehr 2 beded twin bedroom and another bathroom(divided between toilet and shower). Nothing luxurious at all. But they have free wifi, nice owner and it is clean. Note there is no A/c and when it got stuffy we had to open the windows which made for noise. Other than that it was great!

The hotel, or rather self-service apartment, is wonderfully located at a stone throw from the Notre Dame and the Louvre in the Quartier Latin. The owner is very friendly and accomodating. The downside is that the rooms are a bit run-down, clean, but very basic and small. Some paint and refurbishing would go a long way.....

The location of these apartments is excellent. less than 5 minutes walk to notre dame, metro stations are very close by & lots of restaurants within the side streets around the property. Apartments are well equipped but not luxurious. We had a 4 person apartment and 3 person studio for a group of 7. the 4 person apartment has sofa bed in lounge and a twin bedroom upstairs, also has 2 bathrooms, perfect for 4 girls sharing. Kitchenette isn't great if you plan to cook, but has a fridge and microwave so if you mostly want it for drinks, breakfast and snacks then it is all you really need. The studio for 3 was smaller but still adequate with sofa bed, single bed, bathroom and kitchenette. If you plan to spend lots of time in your room or properly cook this probably will disappoint you a bit but if you use it mainly as a base & place to sleep within central Paris, you can't beat the price and location. If you are expecting luxury this isn't for you but if you want to be well located in a basic but clean and comfortable room then don't hesitate. We will definitely be back next trip to Paris.

We found the manager of this hotel very accomodating and helpful. We arrived and initially our room was only big enough for 2 people and not able to accomodate an extra bed for my young child as we requested. The manager came down after hours and "upgraded" us to an apartment with an upstairs bedroom with 2 twin beds a shower room and a separate toilet room! The location was awesome for accessing the metro, walking to Notre Dame, having a wide variety of restaurants and a supermarket less than 2 blocks away! We are already planning another trip to Paris and will no doubt consider staying here again. Having a refrigerator and little kitchenette was ideal!
