This is a really nice little hotel; though the room was small like in most Paris hotels the décor and the quality of the finish was not at all like most hotels in Paris -in my experience. Everything is impeccably clean and well made. The room décor was not entirely to my taste but was perfectly acceptable. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spotless, well equipped, contemporary and most importantly - everything worked. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are cleaned and tidied every day if you so wish. It's as good as a much more expensive hotel in terms of what it offers -albeit in a more compact form. The area is convenient and the métro is nearby. We would happily stay here next time we're in Paris.

We were warned there was a problem with the boiler when we arrived but the inconvenience was minimal. All in all the staff and the hotel helped make our trip a very pleasant one even though the weather was less than ideal. You can't really ask more.

We stayed in the hotel 14-17th april, was abit worried about it being too far out of the center but it was fine! the hotel is right near the nation metro station with great access into the center, takes 10mins to get in.
The staff all speak english and are happy to help and answer all your questions.
The rooms are smallish but comfortable and very clean and modern and bed was really comfy, and they have a buffet breakfast with break cold meats and cheeses, pastries, cereals etc...
I would deffinatly stay again if we return to Paris and recommend it to anyone who desn't want to speand a fortune on accomodation. the ONLY small thing i would fault is they don't have safes in the rooms and they dont have english channels on tv, but hey, who wants to watch tv when your in Paris!

Dear Naomi,

We thank you for taking the time to send us your opinion about the Hotel du Prince Eugene. It will help us improve the best service we want to offer to our guests. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us.
Regarding the safe in the room, as you pointed out, the room is already small and we did not want it to look smaller. We prefered to leave some space for the guests to be able to move. But we take into account your remark and will think of how to improve this part.
All the Hotel du Prince Eugene's team will be very happy to welcome you again.

With our best regards,
Reception

Everything about this hotel is amazing.

1) The localization, close to Nation Metro station (from where you can reach every part of the city very fast), with several stores, tabacs and cafés nearby (I strongly recommend the patisserrie next door ;))
2) The staff, very helpful and kind.
3) While you can't enter your room or after you had to check out (it's common to reach Paris at morning and get out of it at evening or night), you get a storage for your luggage and clean toilets.
4) Wifi: it works and it's fast.
5) Rooms: beautiful, clean, comfortable, everything new, everything working. Cozy but not small.
6) Price: low for the region.

The only reason for not staying at this hotel is if they are full.

I stayed at this hotel with my sister and Mum at the beginnin of Feb. We had a room each and all were same high standard. They're small but definitely all you need. It was really cold when we visited at the beginning of February and the rooms had a nice temperature and everything was very good.

The staff were very helpful, especially the owner with local bus info which made my mum very happy as she found all the steps in the Metro really hard.

The only thing I would say is to bring your own toiletries as they only provided a couple of satchets of shower/shampoo in one.

It's really good to find somewhere so affordable and nice in a city like Paris, I would definitely return and have already recommeded this hotel to friends.

We stayed at the Hotel du Prince Eugene as part of a family Birthday excursion for 2 nights in Paris. This hotel catered perfectly for our needs being very well placed to Metro (5 mins straight walk to Nation station) and next to bars and shops selling everything we needed.

The rooms are predictably small, but kept immaculately clean and designed with just enough space for convenience. Our party was separated across 3 floors and all had the same guest experience.

Upon arrival the receptionist gained directions for travel to our dinner venue and generally service was good.

Breakfast was exactly as expected with a selection of pastries, cold meats & cheese with a member of staff providing hot drinks.

One minor niggle would be that our towel rail didn't come on overnight; other than this everything else was very positive.

Room Tip: We were in room 206 which is at the back of the building should you wish to avoid traffic noise.

We stayed for four nights and had a good time. The hotel is very simple and the rooms are small. But the rooms looked nice (very red though) and were very clean. We had a nice bathroom with a small bath, which was also perfectly clean. Nearby is the metro station 'Nation' from which you can go in almost any direction.
