A return visit for us to the Eber Mars. Well located - 2 minutes to the Ecole Militaire Metro and 6 minutes walk to the Champs de Mars with some rooms having sight lines to the Eiffle Tower. Rooms are well appointed, though some are very small. Beds are comfotable. The elevator is described as 'coffin like' and best suited to sending your luggage up, can hold one person max - makes for an interesting picture. Location, cleanliness, price all add to making this a great home base in a very expensive Paris.

Room Tip: If you need space, get the queen suite - a king size bed, tons of room and a great bath/shower. Over...

We had a very pleasant 5 night stay at Hotel Eber Mars. The room may have been small but that encouraged us to see all the sites that Paris had to offer. The bed was very comfy and was wonderful to crash onto after a long day walking from site to site in the beautiful city of Paris. Our room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels, soaps and the bed remade.

All the staff were very lovely and were happy to help us if we need advice on where to go and how to get from place to place. Hotel Eber Mars even held our bags for us after we checked out so that we could explore the city on our last day before catching our train to Venice.

Overall we had a wonderful experience. We will definitely recommend their hotel to many of my friends due to their value for money, location and overall friendliness during our stay.

Room Tip: Rooms on the higher levels (levels 4-6) with the courtyard views are generally quieter. We heard sev...

the Hotel is quite a fine. the owner is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. the area around the hotel is charming. Centrally located to public transportation and the Eiffel Tower. The elevator is quite small so be aware that only one person can enter at a time. some might say it adds to the French charm.

We were very impresses with the owner, he was helpful and charming. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The shower was a bit small but managable. Walking distance to the Eiffel tower.
Charming hotel with a lovely french flair.

Nice small hotel on a residential street near the Eiffel tower. Walking distance to metro, restaurants, and markets. Room was clean and comfortable and had a pretty street view. There is a one-person elevator, but we took the stairs. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

My wife and I was one our first trip to Paris. We booked Eber Mars based on comments on tripadvisor. Was worried as the comments were mixed. When we arrived, this place could not have been better. We got to check in early. The room was clean and we had a view of Eiffel Tower. Walking distance to the MRT, Eiffel Tower. There was also a weekend jumble sale around the corner where we found many lower priced antiques, paintings and souvenirs. Mr Eber was a good host and provided us directions and suggestions if places to visit.

Whenever I go to Paris I go to Hotel Eber Mars and would not go anywhere else. The Hotel is a great value. It is the total package. I stayed there last year and enjoyed it so much I came back again this year and each time stayed for a week. The hotel is quaint and it is clean. The rooms are not big by American hotel standards (except perhaps by NY standards) but they are decent size and the bathrooms are decent size too. The beds are comfortable and AC is good.

The history of the building and its location really adds alot. However, the best part is the owner himself, Jean Marc Eber, who is the friendliest guy around and makes you feel at home. He makes the hotel a 5 star hotel and he cares about your comfort. Ask him to educate you on the history of the hotel and the 1889 World Exposition--he is an expert. Also, I have said it before and I will say it again, if he makes a suggestion, do it as you will enjoy it as he knows the best places to eat as well as the best shops to attend and buy.

I will make one caveat, if you are extra large, I would not visit or be prepared to stay on the 1st floor as the elevator is a single elevator. I fit comfortably and I am not small, but I would think that if you are 275 pounds or more, rethink.

Room Tip: Rooms on the street are a little noisy in the AM but if you keep the windows shut, you barely hear a...
