Me and my two female friends are back from a great weekend in Paris at Hotel Baby. The staff was very friendly. Always smiling, helping us with our French and giving advice about the city's hotspots. They were even friendly if we arrived at 6.30am and they had to come out of their beds.. I admit there are a lot of hookers in the neighbourhood IN THE DAY, but we never felt unsafe! At night, it's a very quite neighbourhood. For a budget price, you're close to a big metro station and close to Les Halles, Centre Pompidou, ... Keep up the good work, guys@HotelBaby!!!

Dangerous & Unsafe

I had read the previous reviews about this hotel being in a dodgy area and had decided that living in London I was pretty streetwise and not easily put off a cheap hotel. However, even that could not prepare me for what I experienced! The streets around this area are littered with homeless people with alcohol problems and as such you cannot avoid the stench of urine EVERYWHERE. There were 3 of us in our group, all girls. One morning we were woken by a man below our window, at the front door of the hotel screaming at the hotel owner, he was drunk and would not move away from the hotel, so the police were called. There were always prostitutes outside the window loitering around and their male counterparts and clients always coming and going, they tried to approach us a number of times as we left or returned to the hotel. Even in a group of 3, as females we were vulnerable.

General Location
The hotel location was close to subways and therefore this made it easy to travel around Paris. Despite the dirty, unsafe location there were a few nice restaurants and cafes along the main road - if you don’t mind walking through urine in our nice shoes and avoiding crazy people in the evenings!! There was also a supermarket nearby for snacks etc.

The Room & Hotel in General
The room was very small, the bed was not particularly comfortable, the bathroom was surprisingly ok and fairly clean. The hotel was noisy, the walls between rooms are very thin and the banging of doors travels. The hotel has 24 hour security (which is greatly needed!) and you have to ring the door bell to be let in – not great at 11pm standing on the doorstep of the hotel waiting for the door to be opened surrounded by undesirable characters in the dark!

Hotel Ripped Us Off!
Whatever you do – DO NOT USE THEIR TAXI recommendation for the airport! The hotel make out it’s a private taxi that will pick you up, however in actual fact it is a very expensive airport Shuttle service, that the hotel take a BIG cut from!!! Sadly we fell for this – we asked to be picked up at a particular time, only to discover that the time was changed to a later time without us being informed, (presumably because it suited the shuttle service better!!!) on top of this the shuttle could not find the hotel (?!?) and therefore turned up late. This meant that we were literally minutes away from missing our flight as the shuttle still had people to pick up around Paris before heading for the airport. Had we been informed by the hotel that the Taxi service was actually a shuttle….we would have allowed more time to be added on! The hotel don’t tell you this because they are taking a cut of the money and therefore it is not in their interest to put people off or to be honest about the service.

In reality – had we been made aware it was a shuttle service, we would have hailed a taxi (as there were three of us and the shuttle charged 17 euro per person it would have been cheaper, more comfortable and more time effective to get a taxi from the street).

If you value your safety and will be returning to the hotel after dark some nights….don’t stay here.

this hotel is a TWO STAR HOTEL guys, so i dont know why people are giving bad reviews, i dont know what they were expecting.....

We (myself and 3 female friends) are just back from a girly weekend in Paris. Out weekend was a mega budget, getting flights for €50 and accommodation here for 97.50 each for 3 nights... thats 33.50 per night, what do you expect for that price!!! After reading the reviews we did not expect much at all and we were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived!!!

We stayed in the quadruple room on the 6th floor, 2 single beds and one double, the room was clean, had 3 balconies, a heater, hairdryer and 3 balconies. We had so much fun :)

Bathroom is small and yes there was some obvious damage from dampness but this did not bother us one bit.

The lift is the funniest part, starts on the 1st floor brings you to the 5th floor, and fits 2 people or one person and one suitcase, now unless your claustrophobic or afraid of lifts this souldnt bother you, we thought it was funny. I would like to say though it could be a bit awkward if you were in the lift with someone you dont know too well.....

Breakfast is €6 in the morning, croissants, bread roll, tea coffee, hot chocolate, cereal, id recommend you go for it and fill yourself up, as Paris aint cheap, and you will pay about €7+ for a single coffee and one croissant else where....

Most of the staff were lovely, and very helpful, we just had a slight disappointing experience with one of them, maybe he was having a bad day.....

right beside a metro station which is handy!!!!

Oh yeah the ladies of the night...... we saw about 2 of them on the street beside our hotel, just walk past them, they do absolutely no harm.

All in all, we will defo go back and would recommend to a friend :)

Room Tip: 5th and 6th floor you can hear the mechanics of the lift, but its not bad, quadruple room on the top...

Lousy small rooms, dirty bathroom, simple breakfast, hookers on every corner around the hotel.
And we came home with BEDBUGS.

Room Tip: Another Hotel. Or a bench in the park.

We stayed at Hotel Baby for 1 night only on New Years Eve and I think 1 night is enough for this hotel. The staff weren't very helpful and you need a map and compass to find the place. The bathroom was so small, half my body was standing outside the bathroom when I was peeing. Sorry for the image. The lift is so small that only 1 person can fit in it when you have luggage, so being claustrophobic I didn't even bother. The only thing going for this hotel is that it is in central Paris. All in all this hotel is only suitable if you are in a rush and staying in Paris for a 1 or 2 nights tops

Room Tip: If your Claustrophobic do not go in the lift

The rooms were lo little that we had no space for shoes. Stairs so narrow, that even a baggage hardly fits in. Russian protitutes...
Avoid this hotel, just walk around and you find better for better price.
Shame on fake evaluatios here!!!
