We stayed for two nights in July and the rooms are small but clean.Breakfast was poor but supossed this is the french way, with only baguette, croissant, butter and fresh orange juice.Really close to metro station and train station.Only half an hour walk to city centre and most of major attractions if you feel like taking a walk.Overall decent quality and value for money

When we arrived in the middle of the night and saw the place we were a bit disheartened- it looks a bit sad on first sight. The lift is ancient and the foyer/halls very outdated but the rooms were good for the price. Very clean, nice enough view out the window, good enough size, much neater than the exterior. It was nothing fancy, but perfectly satisfactory for the price charged. The bathrooms could use an update but again, it's a good, cheap place for those on a budget. Free wifi, a simple, tasty breakfast - I would recommend it to thrifty travellers. Plus being so close to the metro, train and airport buses was ace!

Room Tip: We were on the second floor looking out over the front of the hotel and that was nice - the window k...

If you're looking for first class, this isn't for you. Our room was small, but VERY clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple, croissant, bread, cereal, yogurt and fruit.

A cheap hotel, an ideal place to stay just for sleeping, after all, if you're going to paris, you don't want to spend all your time in your room do you?

It's also yards from one of the. Main metro stations.

My daughter and I stayed at the Hotel Amiot for 3 nights at the beginning of June. As we exited Gare de L'Est we could see the hotel across the street on the corner--great location. The staff were friendly and polite. Unfortunately, the lift was broken and remained broken for our entire stay. That would be the one main negative, it was very hard to climb 5 flights of stairs after a full day of walking around Paris! Our room was on the 5th floor and had 2 twin beds, a perfectly clean bathroom with shower and toilet, and a fantastic view of the station with Sacre Coeur and the Eiffel Tower in the distance. The safe was a great bonus, we locked our valuables in it every day. There was plenty of room for our case and a wardrobe for hanging clothes. There was no a/c which was a little uncomfortable some days, and I can't imagine what it would be like in the height of the summer. We thoroughly enjoyed the typically French breakfast: fresh baguettes and croissants, butter, jams, fruit, yoghurt, coffee, chocolate, juice. Very nice with sweet, friendly servers. The hotel let us leave our bags at the hotel on our last day which was perfect, we went back to the Metro (literally steps away from the hotel entrance), picked up our bags and got to Gare Du Nord for the Eurostar within minutes. Lots of cafes and restaurants locally, but hop on the Metro or bus and explore a little further afield, there are so many options!

Room Tip: High floor overlooking street for great views

Room was ok, bed was comfortable and windows blocked out the street noise. The bathroom was disgusting, the door did not close and the toilet did not flush properly, every morning it was filled with waste. The breakfast was awful. Not worth the money paid.

Stayed for 3 nights , hotel pleasant enough ( except the small room we had , and the view from our window was of a brick wall ! ) didn't make a fuss as we only used the room for sleeping etc .
Staff were friendly , breakfast was simple .
Some people may not like the area but I didn't feel threatened at any time ( even walking around after midnight )

Don't expect anything flash, but this is a quintessentially French 2 star hotel that fits its purpose exactly.

Ideal for a one night stopover, breakfast was included and reasonably good. Staff lovely, I'd happily stay again while on a similar trip
