This is an excellent property with a 5 star location. The Hotel is an SPG Hotel with wonderful service and attention to detail in every respect. Very elegant restaraunts and bars in the hotel for convenience after a long day of shopping or site seeing. Location/location/location. Within walking distance to the Louvre and the On and Off Bus Tours of the city and close by to the Vendome Shopping Center which is not too shabby....For the money or points a great choice I believe. This was our second stay at the Westin Vendome (June 2014). Unfortunately, not quite as nice as our stay 4 years ago. The hotel is located in a nice location relative to getting around Paris. The staff is helpful and the rooms are nice and big, especially by European standards.

We had a room with a king bed, but it was 2 twins pushed together. I understand that this is what they do in Europe, but it still drives me nuts. It is not a king. There is a giant depression where the two beds meet. Starwood should at least flag on their website that it isn't a real king bed.

Houskeeping was disappointing - they were rationing towels and toilet paper for whatever reason. We had 3 people in the room and couldn't get more than 3 towels. There are 2 holders for toilet paper and and they would only replace one of them. Not huge deals, but really???

The most annoying thing was that there were weddings 2 of the nights that we were there. We were on the 2nd floor (that is 1st floor in Europe), right above the ballroom or wherever the wedding was being held. It as loud and you hear the walls vibrating from the bass. This went on until 1am.

We didn't eat in the restaurant - it was expensive and there are so many other, wonderful choices that we just couldn't do it.

There is no pool, which was a bit of a bummer for the kids. Not a deal breaker, but would have been nice.

We are SPG gold and have stayed at a lot of Starwood properties throughout the US and Europe. This hotel is nice and I would give it 3-1/2 stars if I could. It is 3 stars by US standards and 4 stars by European standards (IMO).

Room Tip: We stayed in a beautiful room on the top floor in 2010. It had a balcony and we were able to watch...

My wife and I stayed in the Westin Vendome in August of 2013. I was really hesitant after reading some of the negative reviews on Tripadvisor about some of the rooms needing to be renovated and receiving rude service from the front desk. After our arrival I could definitley see that the Westin is an old building with a lot of character and a tremendous amount of work is employed into keeping it up to luxury standards. After all this is Paris where accomodations are more unique and require you to be a little more adaptive. Our view is that we could always stay in a brand new hotel on one of our US vacations in modern rooms that are more cookie cutter designed. We were delighted to find they upgraded our room to an eiffel tower view wtih two balconies. I still remember the look on my wife's face when we walked in the room and she saw the eiffel tower! That obviously made a big difference in our view of the hotel and makes my review more biased, but that was our experience. On the other point around service, I found the service at this hotel and at just about everywhere else we visited in Paris to be over the top accomodating.

Room Tip: It doesn't hurt to ask for an upgrade.

A very good hotel. The only reason it's not five stars is that it still feels a little like an American hotel (Westin bath products that you can get in any city in America) and the rooms are small for the money you pay. My husband and I stayed here for a business conference and added on a few days extra. We arrived at 10:00 am and were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready. We were exhausted from overnight travel. We rested in our room and then had a very pleasant "Jet Lag" massage at the spa which was terrific. We then had a club sandwich at the restaurant which was the absolute best club sandwich I have ever had. Truly, truly amazing. The room was small but comfortable. No view, except the courtyard and that got a little noisy our first night. The tub is tiny, too small to soak in. Average, so so bath products. But, the bed is comfortable and we slept very well once the noise in the courtyard stopped. The breakfast the next day was quite comprehensive (but it was pretty much the same each day). Nothing at the breakfast blew me away like that club sandwich. We found the concierge absolutely fine, but again, nothing extraordinary. The Tueleries Bar in the hotel is just great. Very, very good drinks and nice service. The location is quite good; two metro stops very close and tons of restaurants and shops just around the corner. Overall, a quite good stay. But not absolutely extraordinary. Then again, it's a Westin. A chain. And it sort of felt like one, but a good one. American travelers will be absolutely at home.

We have stayed at the Westin Paris Vendome twice now, and consider it a wonderful hotel. Located along the Tuileries gardens in one of the classic buildings that form Paris’ distinctive skyline, it places you in the center of the sightseer’s Paris – two blocks from the Louvre, Place de la Concorde, and the upscale shopping district near Madelaine. There also are many fine restaurants, bistros, and specialty food shops within a few blocks – though the hotel also houses a Michelin-starred restaurant – and there are Metro stops just two blocks in either direction.

If you spring for a city-view room you will look out at a spectacular vista that takes in the Louvre, D’Orsay, Invalides, Concorde, Grand Palais, and Eiffel Tower, among other sights, over the Tuileries’ treetops. Our room was ready by 10:30. We were placed on the first floor of rooms (third story of the building), which have decorative marble fireplaces beneath 12-foot mirrors on wood-paneled walls reaching up to the 18-foot-high ceiling from which a crystal chandelier hung. This also is one of two floors that have small balconies. Everything was beautiful and elegant (FYI, higher floors have slightly fuller views, but with standard-height ceilings). A huge, contemporary armoire lines one wall, giving us enough space to unpack 3 weeks’ clothing and store three suitcases out of sight.

The service is outstanding here, from the porters to the housekeepers to the room service staff – but especially the concierges. They are knowledgeable, responsive, and precise, and importantly they are well-networked across the city – critical if you want to do Michelin-star dining but didn’t make reservations from home several weeks in advance. They also helped us arrange to have champagne and flowers in the room, in a way that minimized our having to pay huge hotel markups. We had a small disappointment with one external vendor, and Oliver resolved it perfectly while we were at lunch.

This hotel will be our regular base for frequent visits to Paris.

Room Tip: The "Paris View" rooms cost only a little more and have unbelievable views of almost every...

I visited Paris on a week long vacation and stayed at the Westin Vendome.
The hotel is absolutely great.
The location is perfect. Just minutes away from any big attraction in Paris.
The staff is extremely useful. I asked several times info to the concierge and always always got an excellent answer. The room was very nice and very clean.

I would absolutely stay there again.

Room Tip: Location, location, location. If you want to be close to most things. This is the place to stay
