Another incredible museum I had never visited. I finally experienced this huge structure and just hung out enjoying the SPACE. The exhibition Monumenta did not do much for me, but this space is beautiful. Beautiful. Just pay the 6 euro to enjoy this incredible structure.

Now something rather different regarding the architectural style and interior content. I walked to the right bank of Seine from the Place de la Concorde and going downward along the right coast
in a short time reached the imposant edifice with whole its appearance consecrated to the art of the twentieth century. It is located in 8th arrondissement and confined with Avenue of General Eisenhower from the north and Georges Pompidou Lane from the south.
In the year of 1897 all was set for the preparation of the Universal Exposition of 1900 and beside the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais and the pont of Alexandre III were as well created.
As to the architectural design, it is conceived in the so-called Beaux Arts architecture. Now we are used to such terms and its practical usages but then in the dawn of the twentieth century it was rather surprise for the common people. The characteristic elements of such course of the modern architecture were the stone facades, the floor planning, the glass vault, main structure made of iron and also very important the light steel framing and one of the first uses of the reinforced concrete.
In the all, very representative in my opinion part of the City with the adjacent gardens as the Jardin of the Nouvelle France and the whole these green parts between the Seine and Avenue Gabriel over the Avenue des Champs - Elysees.

Went in here from Petite Palais. What a contrast.Petite Palais was elegant and full of fascinating art. This was just a huge glass house occupied by white walled structures which you entered to be presented with a bench and bare walls. Fortunately due to a strike we entered free. I would hate to have paid for it. The best thing is it was easy to get out.
