Had a business trip to Paris and we settled on The Five Hotel as it was in the price range and looked interesting. Very small room, but comfortable and clean. Funky features such as LCD lighting on the wall and along the shelving, shower head lights up when water is running. Fake rose petals of different colours decorate the bed after each cleaning, which is nice touch. At first glance the room looked a bit tired, could have used a bit of paint and the bathroom tap was loose, but it all worked fine and it was a very comfortable stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The lobby is a bit odd, called the Love Capsule, decorated all in red with some erotic coffee table books strewn about. Breakfast is served in here, and you have to kind of lean over a very small table on bubble chairs to eat. We skipped breakfast - there's lots of choice in the area so I'd recommend going out of the room.
If you stay here, you have to visit the Sadaharu AOKI shop on the corner and get some macaroons - they are to die.
