We stayed this hotel for our honeymoon. The rooms are nice but really small. Hotels location is not really good. if you are in paris you dont need spend your time in your room. Next time i would prefer more central hotel than this one. Hotel located between two metro stations but both of them is far from the hotel. I suggested you to look for another cheap but central hotel.

Dear Aslı T,

Seven is the ideal place for honey mooners and you choiced it, that is the most important in our heart.
Our Rooms are cocoons where you can have your head in stars.....

I regret you being disappointed concerning our size room and our location but I can understand that your guest may have their priorities for their parisian trip.

Believe, we would be proud to welcome you again and make you forget your disappointment.

Well located (five minutes walk from the metro system, a Starbucks, nice local cafes/bars, and markets/shops) this is an ideal boutique hotel for a romantic break. Even the most basic rooms have plush furnishings, innovative & fun lighting, nice toiletries, an espresso machine (no kettle for boiling water though, but it is France), ipod dock, and waterfall walk-in shower. The room was quite expensive (the suites were well out of our price range), though the alternatives in Paris were equally pricey.

I was worried about reviews criticising the room size, but whilst not large, it was perfectly adequate (I'm not sure what people want to do in a room that you mainly use to sleep in.). There was plenty of room for our luggage, and there is more room under the bed if you need it. Equally I found the room very clean, despite reviews to the contrary. The only criticism would be the lack of lighting in the basin/shower area, the rest of the room was adequately lit, with a window providing light.

Check-in was friendly, the reception staff spoke good English & were helpful with storing luggage & making restaurant bookings. We also got lovely chocolates & a half bottle of Taittinger champagne for posting the booking on Facebook. Not for everyone, but with funky, modern, décor throughout, ideal for a romantic getaway & I 'd wholehearted recommend it & stay there again.

Room Tip: Even the cheapest room was lovely.

This hotel was a surprise for my husband and I. We are avid trip advisor readers, anytime we travel we take it as the gospel truth, however this one surprised us. Reading the reviews leading up to our stay we we attempted to cancel, re-book elsewhere. Not wanting to loose our money we gave it a try with two additional hotels as back up. On arrival, we were greeted by wonderful staff, a very enthusiastic manager who upgraded our room to a suite. We stayed in the Alice suite. While it may not be for everyone's taste it was more than comfortable, spacious and a little unexpected which made the stay even nicer. What was even more amazing was the area, if you are looking for authentic experiences that is a little more local and less tourist trap, then literally 3 streets away were local markets with streets lined with bistros and authentic delicious delis. Of course we did the usual tourist stuff but was a welcome retreat from the throngs of tourists (even if we were one ourselves). One evening we had dinner with a local social sciences professor who happened to be dining alone, we found the locals more than friendly. In a nutshell, we have certainly learned that sometimes we can be surprised. I would recommend staying in a suite though, we did look at the other rooms and those were definitely not for us, not so much the size but the decor, again, if you are looking for a different experience then this is the right hotel. It certainly has an edge. I do agree with some reviews in the quality of the finishes but didn't see this in the suites. I would go again.

Room Tip: Choose a suite over any of the other rooms, more space, much more comfortable.

Most hotel rooms are the same, same look, same basic amenities, etc. However, when we found this hotel, read its reviews and saw the pictures, we thought it looked interesting and different, and decided we had to try it. Later, we also read the recent differentiating reviews on TripAdvisor, and was reluctant to take up the reservation. Also the hotel had confirmed the full transaction fee for our stay and our only option was to write off the money and book elsewhere.

I did contact them about the negative reviews and inquired about a transfer to another hotel in the group, this was not possible, so we decided that we would rather inspect the room in person and decide if we did’nt like it, we would move to another hotel. The manager was great in allowing this, and also offered us a choice to a suite upgrade at an extra cost. We were really impressed with this and took up the offer of an upgrade to a suite since our original levitation room was small without any natural light. The Alice suite was almost double in size with separate toilets and bathroom and lots of light. The walls and ceilings had electronic led lights which was psychedelic in itself, the different settings made us feel like we were in a Beatles video! The two matching loos separated by a chessboard was really different and needed a really adventurous couple to try it!

Ask the manager for an upgrade, she is more than willing to accommodate if there is room. Also she decided not to charge us for the upgrade to a suite – so it really helps to inquire in person.

If you book online, you can get a voucher of a bottle of Tattinger Champaign and chocolate, make sure you ask for your voucher in advance to your booking!

Check-in is also too late (4PM) so plan accordingly, though the hotel will gladly keep your bags, whilst you orientate yourselves with the area.

The hotel is close is bus stops and about 600m to a subway, which was an easy walk if you knew which direction it was. France really needs more tourist friendly signage.

The 27 and 21 buses stop on the street outside and it was easy to find your way around. There are some good restaurants nearby and the supermarket very close by is great for cheaper drinks and food that at the hotel. We also loved the street markets and found it easy to buy food and drinks for picnics in the gardens and parks. You can actually save a lot of money shopping this way, for instance a 6 pack of 1 liter bottles of Evian water is about Eur3,50, whilst one liter bottle go for about Eur2.50 each!

Room Tip: always ask for an upgrade, the Alice suite is twice the size of the Levition or Suspended bath rooms

We arrived at hotel seven at around 10.30pm. It's a good 15 minute walk from the nearest metro station especially when pulling luggage & pushing a buggy! The check in was pretty quick and the first impression of the hotel is great! However, the corridors & rooms are small even by Paris standards. We knew beforehand that our 2 year old would have to share our bed as there would be no room for an extra bed but what we didn't realise is that there is literally no room for anything!! It's a good job the bed was "levitating" as under the bed was the only space we had to put our suitcase which was a complete pain as every time we wanted to access it we had to pull it out and lift it up onto the bed so that we could open it!

The room looked pretty cool when you first walk in and then you realise that in order to move about without falling over yourself in such a small space you need to have the main lights on and then you loose the whole impact of the lights! However with the main lights on you get to see ALL the faults. This place is starting to look run down, there are stains on the walls, scratches all over the glass and dirty carpets.

The mini bar was obviously an after thought in the room we were in and was plonked on the floor outside the toilet!!!

We also found some makeup that had obviously been left by another guest which had fallen down the side of the bed next to the table. I can't believe the housekeeping missed it and it goes to show just how well they clean their rooms!

We went to use the nespresso machine but when we took the water jug out to fill it there was an awful mouldy smell which made us feel sick and we quickly put it back in. They obviously need cleaning!

The shower was very good although it had an odd slatted floor which moved! The l'occitane products they use are lovely. The tv was also a decent size but lacked english speaking channels.

Check out was ok but a bit informal. The dead roses in the entrance were disappointing to see. They obviously don't pay any attention to the small details which turn an ok hotel into a good hotel.

During our stay we felt like we were ignored a bit and kept getting stares off the staff when our 2 year old made a noise of any kind. If you have children then I would recommend that you don't stay here, the place just doesn't function well as a family friendly place. It's better suited to young 18-25 year old childless couples!

We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel and instead we went over the road to a fantastic bakery and bought some very fresh and yummy croissants! I would highly recommend doing that instead of paying the high prices the hotel wants.

Overall we felt that the hotel compromised functionality for design but the design is also flawed. It's basically a hotel with a bunch of neon lights and zero soul. Very disappointing!

Dear Warbe28,

Seven was created to make our guest live a unique and sensory experience.
The story you wrote looks as a series with many obstacles and I do regret you were the actors.

Unfortunately, I cannot change this sad series, but I can make your next parisian trip for a btter and magic script.

We stayed in the Levitation room wowed by the pictures online. In reality it is very small, the toilet is right by the bed and the double shower was broken with strange slatted flooring. The room had a cheap feel about it which was hard to deal with considering the price. Also, the tv has no English speaking options, no compatibility with USB or apple which I ordinarily would not even notice but there were no other facilities in the hotel that were inviting to use. Tiny bar and breakfast area.
Oh and check in was not until 4pm!
